Nene and Kenya weren’t friends, that’s why Nene didn’t consider Kenya’s feelings about inviting Walter. Her and Cynthia were supposedly close friends and Cynthia supposedly knew Kenya was coming and didn’t tell Nene. It really is a valid reasoning. Kenya entered that party prepared to ignore Nene and make her look bad and Cynthia knew that. She knew there would be problems and a good friend would at least give you a heads up. When confronted, Cynthia could have been honest the way Nene was about her wedding and inviting Walter, but Cynthia lied and said she didn’t know Kenya was coming which made it all seem underhanded.

It might not be taught at home, but you'll definitely see it in other women, while growing up and when you're a young woman. Especially in the Black community. Its like , bullshyt and heartache comes with the territory. I've always heard about the "Ride or Die chick" or terms like " A piece of man is better than none at all. All kinds of demeaning shyt just to have a man. I only saw romantic kind of love on tv, while growing up. This day and age, 99% of Black relationships is betrayed as very negatively. Especially in the media.

You nailed it again! However I do agree with Eva. You never know when a fight might break out with those women. (Like at Nene's house) I'm sure Kenya would never deliberately harm any child, but Eva just didn't want her kids around anything that might "pop off" and I can't say I really blame her. I think it was more of a "better safe than sorry" type situation than it was her thinking Kenya was actually dangerous to her babies. Plus, if something did pop off, whether it was Kenya or someone else, it would be easier to flee if you don't have to gather up your two kids first.
