The Hustler movie is actually a Masterpiece. Its filled with so much irony and sadness but it used to beguile me to watch nonetheless. I understand this movie now because l understand the passion a man can have for ANYTHING as well as the flawed but intelligent woman who could understand him which was the key to him finally saying "l loved her Burt ......"

José Gimiro Jose when a film can be seen again and again..we all know its special I discount " The Color of Money" as a remake but I think its just a hommage to Paul Newman which is okay we dont even want to know who won that 1961 oscar because we all know Newman should have won it

charles pope l agree. This movie ages so well! It captures so well the atmosphere of this submerged group of people's most human side. Subtle, powerful acting with Mr. Newman, Mr. Gleason and Mr. Scott at their all-time best. Sorry for the blurt. lol.

Slick jazz score, grimey characters all "MOBBED" up in a Pool Hall Hustling, not giving a Damn about the outside world. PRICELESS!!!!!!
