cabinets to the ceiling! the backsplash and open space will be hard to clean, and a huge dust collector, it also might look too busy, with tile up there, too! the look of cabinets to the ceiling would look more uniform and clean!

Trim above the cabinets for sure! Zelige tile is so expensive and I think it would look a little weird if it was above the cabinets - they wouldn’t look as grounded to the wall or as built in as most people like.

Definitely finish off your cabinets to look like they go all the way to the top to look more finished and high end. Love the tile but you honestly have plenty of it already.

Cabinets all the way to the ceiling for sure. Can you raise them all the way up? If so you can do that and then fill that space with your existing backsplash. So you can have more of a backsplash and the cabinets all the way up to the ceiling.

we raised them about a foot to begin with which was all the way up, and that was too high! so we lowered them down about 6 inches and it’s perfect there 😊

That makes sense. I would then build the cabinets up with trim to make them look like they go all the way up to the ceiling. I am loving your kitchen makeover and it will look stunning when it’s finished!😊

I think you need trim at the top! If you don't then you can see hood isn't as thick at the top. To me it would look way more custom and high end if you hide that at the top. Now if you maybe added drywall and made the hood go to the wall at the top then tile it could look good! But I think my vote is still trim

Just my opinion I would make it look like the cabinets go all the way up. For me when I look at the space that’s what I see first not your tiles or your hood. That’s just me. I think I would want the hood and tile the vocal point. All I notice is the space between the ceiling and the cabinets first then the rest.

Those cupboard are way too high now. You can’t even reach the 2nd shelf. The backsplash is a huge no for me, looks messy, uneven and not well done. The husband walked in and said “ ew, that’s horrible”
