You're starting out right with the plants in plastic pots with drainage that you then put in decorative pots. I find that setting the pots in the sink at night and watering thoroughly leaving them there to drain overnight is the best way to keep them alive - get a water meter - they're great and they are no fail. The one variable is to be sure they are getting enough light - that's a hard game - but you can move the around if they look sad. GOOD LUCK!!! Your heart is so in the right place - you'll do great! The absolute WORST thing for most plants is sitting in excess water - they literally drown and their roots rot.

thank you SO much for this!! i totally need these tips haha. i want to keep her alive and healthy sooo bad 🥺 i’m sure one day soon i’ll have to repot her but for now she seems to be thriving in her original pot so i’m not touching it 😂🤌🏼 that’s such a great tip for the watering!! totally trying that now 🤓🍃

@@kenziemac Google her - some varieties like being a bit pot bound. Don't go more than an inch or two more on width when repotting - too much soil will provide too much moisture in a pot that's too big. Good luck - I'm enjoying your finds.
