Assasin is pretty easy and rewarding spec opener is lenghy but fun. Definetly not 123 like ret. But damage profile is very good and high damage overall. Pretty much in m+ meta with good survivalibility and mobility. Raiding is also very solid as assasin

I share your sentiment about the rogue. The only class that never grew on me and I fully subscribe to the Idea that Outlaw should become a gunslinger. right now there is only a single class that can use Guns, Bows or crossbows. Isn't that strange?

Ever since they took Combat Rogue and made it Outlaw Rogue I have wanted them to introduce a "mid range" gunslinging rogue, Survival Hunter almost plays like that especially in PvP.

I've always liked combat rogue... I wouldn't want them to do away with that playstyle for a ranged, but other classes get 4 roles... honestly Sub and Assassin in terms of the class "idea" are pretty much the same anyway right? Just one has more gimmicks and the other does more damage. They could maybe combine those, bring back Combat as aoe melee, and make Outlaw more range oriented.

I came back to WoW during Dragonflight like many others. I had always played Paladin but as a healer main, I wasn't really a fan of the combo-point playstyle. When I came back to DF I mained a disc priest at first and had a lot of fun with the whole healing through damage playstyle. As I heard about the fistweaving Monk build I had to try it and I've absolutely fallen in love. Fistweaving is the most fun class/spec I have played in an MMO in years, if not ever. The insane mobility, the sick monk animations and healing through your damage, everything about it is just pure fun.

@@The_Kephas I imported everything, but the configurations are completely different. The Roboto font is also missing in ElvUi... I tried to follow various import guides and I do everything correctly, but I can't explain why both ControlPort and ElvUi are completely incorrect.

In terms of the combo points you look at it wrong.. don't think of your actions being done to build up combo points, think of the combo points just being a cause of your main skills that you'll likely open with anyway. And suddenly spender skills become satisfying chunky skills that feedback and enable you to use your basic skills. At least mostly for outlaw. Let the points work for you. And slice and dice.. it'll become a natural upkeep as you play when you get it.. especially trickster gives you a great carrot with hidden blade. Snd allows you to have a chance at auto attacks resetting the cool down on hidden blade. So you can snd at 1 point then 2, 3 etc. But just whenever you don't have anything immediate to spend on dump on snd. You don't always have to max your points. Kidney shot is acceptable on 3 points. Snd.. any point. Between the eyes you do have to get at least 6. You just gotta learn the flow. Assassin is more about pressing whatever you want.. you can optimise but you don't have to care. Subtlety is a lot more of planning ahead and burst then kite.

I'm new to wow and because I played swotor, Fury warrior fit like a glove because its a 1-to-1 of Sith Juggernaut. The more I play wow the more I see what bioware copied lol but Monk takes the cake for me. Already lvl 70 with a straw hat.

You deserve the same opportunity to learn how to play a new role as everyone else. That means starting from the beginning, and at first, you might not meet everyone's expectations-and that's okay. Especially in pugs, if people get upset, that’s on them, not you. From my experience, it's not as bad as it seems once you give it a go, though there will be times when people are toxic. If they kick you for something silly, it’s not because you let them down. Remember, it’s just a game, and everyone starts somewhere. To ease into it, try a few follower dungeons first. Once you feel more comfortable, go ahead and dive into a real dungeon. You’ve got this!

I think Windwalker is one of my favorite specs in the game. A lot of the button bloat has been tuned down and it feels really powerful. Brewmaster is a lot of fun too if you like tanking. I've never tried Mistweaver though. I haven't healed much.

Yes! It's with an addon called Consoleport. If you check my description, you'll find a playlist that goes over my entire UI. It's a bit of a rabbit hole, some of the videos in the playlist go over my controller setup using ConsolePort.

Unholy dk to me is pretty fun but the opener is crazy cuz tooo many buttons to open just to start doing rotation. You got to press defile, abomination, abomination limb, dark transformation, and then unholy assault, which they are all on the GCD, and then u can finally start doing ur rotation

I'm sorry but I think when you don't play rogue you don't see the difference but being in it they're probably the class that has the most difference between specs. You can actually choose to not slot base skills and some don't care about an entire aspect. Like Outlaw can pretty much forego stealth. I main this class and it's a thrill. Every pull you really feel like you outclassed the enemies because you need to work much harder than other classes. I just don't like not pushing buttons. I gotta have the high APM of rogue.

Yeah we pretty much have the same opinion of everything. I was a rogue main before switching to DH main in Legion. I think rogue is in a bad spot bc of a loss of identity, it was a high mobility, swift and quick class, and it's not anymore since monk and DH are a lot quicker and crazy to play. They tried to make it a very calculated, meticulous class I guess but it doesn't work for me. I find it overcomplicated, very "old school" and not in a good way (pressing buttons that does nothing). Also you're often waiting for your energy to regen which is not a nice feeling I'm only doing pve so i guess pvpers must enjoy rogues differently

ya i love my evoker is started off with dk i enjoyed him very much then i saw a evoker doing his ablity and thought i want to try that and havent beent he same since i still think they need jsut a little touch of somehting to really make them pop but i love how they are now event he fact you stay in dragon form mostly i kinda prefer them that way

Yeah, I honestly felt kind of bad putting them in the middle. They really are incredibly fun. Kind of like you, I just felt like it needs a little more time to cook. It's almost exactly how I used to feel about Demon Hunters when they first came out.

See, monk is the only class I CAN'T get into... I just dislike how heavily it leans into the panda stuff. To me, it feels soft-locked into being a pandaren and I don't want to be pandaren. So, even though every race can be monk, the whole class just feels like you're SUPPOSED to be pandaren..

I get what you mean. Panda is definitely the best race for monk in terms of aesthetics. But I've personally found that Human males, Dwarves, and even Vulpera can pull it off, too!

Been an Ele main for years but once they forced ice fury on us i lost every interest and fun, also ele is kinda like the same without any big changes. Went for Monk mid legion and WW is the only thing i like to play in modern WoW. Monk is sooooo much fun, nothing comes even near it. Sadly it's always an off-meta pick, so once you try to get some m+ score, you're gonna get declined for hours, which always made me stop playing the game entierly. Funny enough, i always liked the rogue fantasy, i even played multiple rogues in DnD and still, in WoW, rogues are the least fun class i've ever played.

Couldn't disagree more with warrior. I've mained them since WoD and rerolled this expansion. That's why you see so many warriors levelling, but so few doing end game content. Everyone rerolled to something more fun. Every dps build they have is so mind numbingly boring. Gameplay is as bland as it gets. All you need to/can do is spam 4 abilities when they come off cooldown. You don't need to think about or react to anything The way the class is designed is just stupid too. Mountain thane gets a 4 second proc of avatar. Think about how fucking useless that is compared to something like deeply rooted elements. Colossus' cooldowns don't line up with anything and the damage from demolish is so mediocre for what you lose when you use it. Every spec just feels like it was designed with no clear goal/theme in mind, so its both clunky and boring. The class itself also doesn't have any impactful flavour abilities

I play assasins rogue and its definetly better and more fun than frost mage or any warlock spec. I have all specs around 600ilvl. Your take is non sense for me. Im also top dps of ny guild with arcane mage as rogue. Also as affliction on certain bosses but rogue dmg profile is just superior unlike affliction. Frost mage is boring. I dont like this tier list but fun is subjective i guess.

It's cool, different strokes for different folks. I will say that there are fewer Rogues than ever now. So I know I'm not alone in how I feel about them, but neither are you. So it's all good.

Yes but its cool there are not many rogues like overplayed ret, im the only raiding rogue in my guild. Assasin is pretty easy spec not more difficult than affliction for an example, but not 1234 either. Opener is lenghy but fun. Only in longer static fights energy starvation is only bad thing but not major problem either. Also rogue is very evasive, wont die easily. Maybe ppl think rogues are complicated that was my worry when i choose assa over fury warrior but im glad i went for rogue. Its my favorite spec atm.

@@The_Kephas general opinion from rogue players (based on a cursory review of the forums/reddit threads and some self-proclaimed old school rogue players as well) seems similar to yours i.e. too much effort for the same damage, needless complexity, no new exciting talents that other classes got, etc. I've played rogue since Vanilla and finally gave mine up in SL when i felt i had to invest too much time to 'get good' essentially. Crazy work hours and little free time didn't make for a good combo with playing the rogue unfortunately. Having said that, recently some diehard rogue players seem to be enjoying assassination rogues though based on shared feedback on latest threads about class performances (in PvE)
