List of things I know I screwed up... lol: 1 - Did not add the add'l health for the rats due to the Overseer Influence (based on my level should have been D4 for each creature!) 2 - I should have been using Evasive Strike from my Weapons Mastery which has no cost! 3 - Rolled a fumble on my Scavenge Check 4 - Forgot to roll on the loot table for the Rats! 5 - Early on forgot to roll on the location to hit table but started remembering. 6 - Forgot to recover D4 toughness immediately after the battle! Promise I will improve next time! Feel free to reply and list more if you see more... :)

Thanks for the video, it's really cool to see the game completely translated to digital tools! In combat, you don't need to always use your Dodge skill (unless it specifically says otherwise), you could have defended with your Blades skill. Oh, and you forgot to roll for the loot after defeating the rats! And you rolled a fumble on your scavenging check (22), which means that you can mark your skill for progress, and you trigger an encounter.

Got it. Didn’t realize that. I also realized I forgot to add the health point to each monster from the overseer influence. I think it should have been one point. Missed the hit location but then started remembering it. Enjoying it very much and will definitely keep playing it. Probably should have tested combat a few times before I recorded but had fun!

@@LordGwydion actually, it's +D4 Health per each 5 character levels. So in your case, just +D4. I'm glad you're having fun!

I was of the impression that 'dodge' was to be used as the defensive roll, unless a weapon/shield granted 'parry'.

@@tzera_rhuon no, that's how it works on Riftbreakers and the upcoming Ker Nethalas spin-off "Carnage & Aether", but in KN you can always dodge attacks, or parry them with a weapon, unless the attack explicitly says you must dodge it.

I have just played through the first Domain with my very analog game journal (because I really wanted a non-computer activity) with an Arcanist/Hexmancer survivor (because I thought a focus on magic was something I wanted to try). 1. The structure of different tables all over the place was very annyoing. I will create a flowchart of how exploration works and how combat is resolved by copying tables later. This way I don't have a lot of fun flippng through the book. 2. I fought the blighted rats once, the fleasheater once and two times skeletal horrors. The second skelettal fight took a heavy toll on my Sanity, because it took so long and you will fail a lot of Resolve rolls over time. 3. I found medium vembraces and a torso brigandine (which were great) and a magical Ring (6/11) very good. 4. I rested once, to repair, attune and make rations and bandages. 6. I got 13 rooms totally explored and a total of 4 Growing Darkness triggers 7. I took some extra damage due to events and hardly got any skill increase (not rolling doubles a lot) In the end I had Resolve, Reason and Bladed Weapons increased by like 1-4 8. I had the Dreadlord Overseer and saw no chance of making a dent on that , so I skipped it. I exited the Domain with 250 XP (4 fights with a +10XP bonus due to Growing Darkness table) and on broken down door) 9. Now that I enter the first random Domain, I hardly feel any more prepared. I can use Sap Vitality (good) and one volley of Arcane missiles (mediocre at best) before runnign out of Aether. then it is stabby stabby with the dagger. Not sure going for a "mage" is a good decision over a character that goes for physical combat. Skill rolls are so hard to make, with numbers of 20 or 30 or even lower. 10. Conclusion: This will be a very grim dark experience to come... PS: I will return to see you you did with the complete Domain (and dealing with Skelettal Horrors at a Resolve of 30)

Awesome! Thanks for sharing and commenting. I completely hear you about analog. I tend to go full digital to save space and so my wife and family don't get too annoyed with the space I take!

@@robstorm6867 no i did not. I downloaded some useful PDFs on the Discord, that by now most likely have been improved even further. Due to a lot of RL stuff I had to put Gaming on a hiatus. Best to ask other people right now.

Like the change of pace in seeing a vtt version of the game played. Thank you. I thought the pack bonus decreased as the foes died? Could be wrong?

I just checked the video and I think I did this right. You are correct in that they get +5 for every other ally alive. So, I gave them +10 until the first one died and then +5. Thanks again for watching and commenting! I'm having a blast playing.
