The members of Jehovah withness are asked to not take up weapons of warfare because they believe that it's against the teachings of Christ such as love your neighbours and love your enemies. Persons serving in the military are bound to pick up weapons to fight against their opponents. But the JW perceive it as a form of violence. According to them, it's a sin to fight against others. Therefore they refuse to participate in military service. They don't salute the national flag or sing a national anthem. Because they see them as acts of worship. They believe that God alone is worthy of worship so they refrain from bowing down to anyone/anything other than God. They don't become involved in politics or government. They always avoid contesting for public office and voting. They don't raise slogans in favour of or against any government. They like to maintain political neutrality because Jesus Christ didn't run for political office. They also do not celebrate birthdays.

இந்த குண்டு வைத்தவர் பொருளாசை பிடித்தவர் ஆக தெரிகின்றது, ஏனென்றால் இவர் வாழ்ந்த பகுதிக்கு கிட்டே வெள்ளப்பெருக்கு வந்திருக்கின்றது அதற்கு உதவியாக வெளிநாட்டு சபைகளிடமிருந்து உதவிகள் வந்திருக்கின்றது, அந்த உதவிகள் நேரடியாக யெகோவாவின் சாட்சி உடைய சபைக்கு மட்டுமே வரும் ஆனால் இவருடைய ஆதங்கம் தன்னைப் போன்ற தனி நபர்களிடம் ஏன் ஒப்படைக்கப்படுவதில்லை, அப்பதானே அதில் ஊழல் செய்யலாம், இப்படிப்பட்ட செயல்களுக்கு எங்கள் சமூகமும் ஒரு காரணமாக இருக்கின்றது, நீண்ட காலமாக வதந்தி பரப்புகின்றார்கள் பைபிள் கொண்டு வாரவர்கள் காசு கொடுத்து மதம் மாற்றுகிறவர்கள் என்று, இந்த பயங்கரவாதத்தில் ஈடுபட்ட இந்த நகரும் தனக்கு ஏதாவது தொகை பணங்கள் கிடைக்கும் என்று வந்து மாறி இருக்கலாம், தனக்கு நிறைய பணங்கள் கிடைக்கும் என்று பல வருடங்கள் காத்திருந்திருக்கலாம், அப்படி கிடைக்காத போது அவர் ஆழ்ந்த ஏமாற்றம் அடைந்து சபையில் இருந்து விலகிப் போய் இருக்கலாம், பிறகு பெரும் பணம் பொருள் சம்பாதிக்கிறதுக்காக அரேபிய நாட்டுக்கு போய் இருக்கின்றார், அங்கேயும் அவருடைய பண ஆசை தீர்ந்த பாடு இல்லை, அவமானம் ஒரு பக்கம், பண ஆசை இன்னொரு பக்கம், இந்த பண ஆசையால் இவர் விபரீத முடிவு எடுத்திருக்கலாம் யெகோவாவின் சாட்சிகளுக்கு இரண்டு சட்டங்கள் தான் இருக்கின்றது உன்னைப் போல் அயலான நேசி உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடு யெகோவை வணங்கு, இவைகளை அவர்கள் இறுக்கமாக கடைப்பிடிப்பதால் அதாவது 1,போருக்கு போவதில்லை 2,அரசியலில் கலந்து கொள்வதில்லை 3,ராணுவத்தில் சேருவதில்லை 4,போலீஸ் படையில் சேருவதில்லை 5,ஆயுத தொழிற்சாலையில் வேலை செய்வதில்லை 6,வரி ஏய்ப்பு செய்வதில்லை 7,இந்த உலகத்திலேயே எந்த நாட்டு தேசியக் கொடிக்கும் வணக்கம் செலுத்துவதில்லை இதனால் அவர்களை தேசத் துரோகி என்று பலர் சொல்லுகிறார்கள் தேச பக்தி: என் நாடு தான் சிறந்தது, என் இனம் தான் சிறந்தது, என் மொழி தான் சிறந்தது, என் சாதி தான் சிறந்தது, என்னுடைய நாடு தான் பல அறிவாளிகளையும் விஞ்ஞானிகளையும் கொண்டது என்று தலைக்கனம் அடைவது இப்படியான கொள்கைகள் நல்லதுக்கு இல்லை இப்படியான கொள்கைகளால் பல படுகொலைகள் சாதி சண்டைகள் ஊர் சண்டைகள் நாட்டுக்கு நாடு சண்டைகள் பயங்கர போர்களில் கொண்டு வந்து முடியும் இவைகள் எல்லாம் பேய்கள் உடைய அல்லது சாத்தானின் பொறிகளாக இருக்கின்றது இந்த பொறிகளில் விழுகிறவர்கள் வாழ்க்கை பூராவும் நிம்மதி இல்லாமல் குரூரங்களையும், பகைகளையும், பாகுபாடுகளையும் வளர்த்துக் கொண்டு சாவார்கள் இப்படியான கொள்கைகளை உடைய நாடுகளை பாருங்கள் அங்கே உலகத்திலே நடக்காத எல்லா பயங்கரவாதங்களும் அங்கே நடந்து கொண்டு இருக்கின்றது ராணுவத்துக்கு எதற்காக போகிறார்கள்? இந்த உலகத்திலே ராணுவத்துக்கு எதற்காக போய் சேருகிறார்கள்? புளியங்காய் சுட்டு வீழ்த்தவா? அல்லது அப்பிள் பழம் சுட்டு வீத்தவா? அவர்கள் மனிதர்களை கொல்வதற்காகத்தான் போகின்றார்கள், எல்லா மதங்களும் சொல்லுகின்றது மனிதர்களை கொல்லக்கூடாது என்று, இந்த உலகத்திலே தனிய யெகோவாவின் சாட்சிகள் மட்டும் மனிதர்களை கொல்வதில்லை, இந்த உலகத்திலேயே உண்மை மதம் ஒன்றாகத்தான் இருக்கும் அதை அது யெகோவாவின் சாட்சிகள் என்று அடையாளம் கண்டு கொள்ளுங்கள், கடவுள் எங்களை ஆடு மாடுகள் போல் படைக்கவில்லை, சிந்திச்சு செயல்படும் திறனோடு படைத்திருக்கின்றார் ராணுவத்துக்கு போனாலும், மதச் சண்டைக்கு போனாலோ, சாதிச் சண்டைக்குப் போனாலும், அடுத்த மனிதரை கொல்ல வேண்டி வரும் என்று நாங்கள் எங்கள் சபைகளில் கற்றுக் கொள்கின்றோம், 1, நாட்டுப்பற்று 2. மொழிப்பற்று 3. தேசப்பற்று இவையெல்லாம் பிசாசுகள் வைக்கும் பொறிகள் அதில் வீழ்வழர்கள் பயங்கர போர்களில் போய் மாழுவார்கள்.
