8k for a night sounds bit expensive .when lunch,dinner,snacks n breakfast was inclusive why did they make you purchase fish from village? Fish is in abundance in Kerala. The price u paid proves how they take advantage by charging high. You should have taken tiger prawns which they roast on coal and serve it with papaya chutney 👍

Only tourist buy fish from that shop. The price in that shop is very high. They pay commission to boat staff , who brings tourists to their shop..... Avoid that shop.

Hi Mayur, I am also planning for Allepey. But I heard during night time mosquito and water stinking problems we have to face. Is that true? Was washrooms and bed were hygienic?

Hi Nikhil, what you heard about mosquitoes 🦟 is right. There are lots of mosquitoes at night. But, regarding water stinking, I haven't faced such problem. Washroom and bed were hygienic and for me boatman was very cooperative and he maintained hygiene very well. May be if boat man parking boat near to crowded area at night, at that place, it will happen. In our case there were only few houses near our boat.

The boat size is different based on people, we are 3 so there is 1 BHK boat. If there are more people then boat size is big like 2 room or 3 room. Apart from guest 2 crew people are there.
