The manager tried to dumb down the names too much. The first 4 items were not just achar, each of them have separate names. The worst dumbing down was calling the 3 ' Pachadi' (beetroot, pineapple and pumpkin) as khichdi/ raita.

By the way this is Thiruvananthapuram special sadhya which offers yoy an extra dish called boli. I'm from Northern side of kerala, Kozhikode district. We serve kuruva rice with sadhya. We start rice eating with sambar, not with dal ghee mix. You can see minor differences in eeach neighbouring districts and it becomes major in te case of distant districts. Here Puleenchi/pulinkari is missing Which is made of Tamarind, ginger and jaggery.

There in Kerala, you can get Normal meals means JANTA KHANA @ Rs 30/-. (Unlimited food) with three to four types of different different curries my be veg or non veg, as per requirement of customer.

Sonal Ji.. Kerala rice jo bol rahe hai vo usna chaval hai (Boiled rice). Usna chaval Odisha, Jharkhand (particularly Eastern part) and Bengal me bhi khaya jata hai. North East ke baare mujhe pata nahi hai. Payasam means Kheer.

2:58 its not raitha, its a cooked curry. Manager is wrong in saying papad, its pappadam in Malayalam as you said and dal is said in Malayalam as parrip not parippu. I think Manager don't know proper malayalam

@@sainiamarjeet yes it is because you can take unlimited rice and vegetables and curries are more in number compared to other states and vegetables are expensive in kerala. mostly vengetables come from tamil nadu and karnataka
