This is not the first floating bridge in Kerala at all. There is a floating bridge in Veli in Trivandrum, and I first saw almost 3 decades ago when I was a kid, it could be older but I don't know when exactly it was built. That too, its an actual bridge that connects two land masses between water, and not a floating ramp misnamed as a floating bridge. There was even a floating restaurant near the floating bridge in Veli, but I don't know if it's still open

And this is a simple thing across the world not even worth of the news. Its in a way misleading title aswell, i thought its a real floating bridge like the ones in china which can be driven through vehicle.
