Thanks Abhishek. Nice and detailed explanation. Your tips on route map, update on time taken while crossing landmarks enroute, helped me to plan my return journey from Calicut to Mulund last Sunday. Taking cue and inspiration from your non-stop 27 Hrs long drive, I too got the confidence to drive non-stop back to Mumbai. We started from Calicut at 4.20 AM and reached Mulund same day at 11.15 PM. Bhai which is the best and safest route from cochin to vashi by road. Me and family planning for a road trip to Mumbai and this would be a first experience for us. Pls guide.
@abhishek.dahitule3 жыл бұрын
For me I found best and safest road with family is Vashi - Pune -Bangalore - Salem - Cochin. As the whole highway is 4 to 6 lane and so we have to pay more for a toll and kilometre wise is also more but time required is same. And if you want to go for a short distance you can go via Mangalore. Till Mangalore roads are good but as you enter in Kerala you will find only 2 lane road till Cochin no dividers and all.

@abhishek.dahitule3 жыл бұрын
If state borders are open now . I will suggest to go via Banglore as definately you will save time but via km it will increase because as you entered in Kerala all roads are 2 lane till kochin.. and because of that I was not able to overtake and got irritate my avg speed on kerala road was approx 35 to 40km/hr. But on Banglore highway you will maintain avg speed of 70 to 80km/hr. And i found via Banglore that is safe too as all road is 4 lane. But you have to pay more on Toll.

@abhishek.dahitule3 жыл бұрын
If you want a good route with good 4 lane road and you are travelling with family then i will recommend you to go via Pune - Bangalore - Salem - Walayar - Kochi This is the best route even i travelled from here when I was going to kerala with my family for first time. But you have to pay more on Toll Plaza. And distance is also more as compare to other route but you will cover it on same time as roads are wide and very nice.
@jeet.bhavsar3 жыл бұрын
@@abhishek.dahitule I'm planning the following: Pune - Kolhapur - Hubli - Davangere - Hassan - Vythiri (Wayanad) And for return journey: Cherai (near Kochi) - Kozhikode - Mangalore - Kumta - Ankola - Yellapur - Belagavi - Kolhapur - Pune Will this be okay? I want to experience the coastal highway NH66 as well..
@jeet.bhavsar3 жыл бұрын
Looks like the routes that I've mentioned above have about 50% 4 lane and 50% 2 lane..
@abhishek.dahitule3 жыл бұрын
Yes via Hassan, road is also good. But while returning after yellapur if you put navigation on Google map it will show a route which is very risky as a I came from that same route while returning uou can see in this video.. google map shown me that road which is under construction and was only mud on that road. And try to cover that road (after yellapur) in a day time. Problem from Mangalore is that, from kochi to Karnataka( approx 500km) it is 2 lane road and your car speed will be go down and you will be irritate as you will not get chance to overtake, as roads are ver narrow ( you can see this in my both video) but road conditions ia good. All the best for your trip. Have a safe drive and take care.
@jeet.bhavsar3 жыл бұрын

Mumbai - Pune - Bangalore - Salem - Walayar - Thrissur - Allepey as this route is very nice maximum 4 lane wide road no forest area of 2 lane road.
