Keran is a village located in the Neelum district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan but a 2nd part of this village was located in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is situated in the Line of Control (LoC) and is one of many border villages in the region. Due to its proximity to the LoC, the village has faced security issues and restrictions on movement in the past. It is a remote and underdeveloped area, with limited access to basic amenities and infrastructure. The population is primarily engaged in agriculture and animal farming. Keran کیرن is a village and tourist resort in Neelum Valley, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located 93 KM from Muzaffarabad on the bank of Neelum River at the altitude of 5,000 ft at sea level. Neelam village is 2.5km away from here.
