What I would recommend adding on the first mechanic is to step under and then use a channeled ability (concentrated blast/asphyxiate or snipe/rapid fire) as you will continue dealing damage whilst stalling yourself under Kerapac.

The best part about Kerapac's Shatter attack is you don't even need to use Freedom if you get stunned by the initial attack where Kerapac launches the rift, you get unstunned just before Kerapac starts siphoning it and you can run out of the way just in time before you'd get hit by the siphon, unless the distance between the rift and Kerapac is too small then you'll probably get hit once or twice. Sure, you'll lose out on a bit of DPS, but this way you can save both Anticipation and Freedom for the slam attacks if you're bad at timing Escape and Surge and don't have the ring upgrade, and you won't have to worry about them being on cooldown just when you need to use them. This of course doesn't apply to Hard Mode.

RS3 PvM is so overwhelming to me 😩 I'm maxed and wanting to learn higher level bosses but there just seems to be a 'wall' that I can't seem to get over.

NM Kerapac isn’t even a ‘higher level boss’. It’s one of the easiest bosses in RS. I did it first try after just skimming the Wiki page lol. In fact, bossing in RS is incredibly easy. All it takes is getting used to the tick system and just how things work together in general. I’d suggest starting at even easier bosses and slowly introducing various things like defensive and switches and working on your ability rotation. I mean, this is literally a guide in exactly how to do the boss. I’m actually not sure what is the issue for you if all the information is right here and you still can’t do it. It has to be related to the tick system, whatever is giving you trouble. That seems to be the hardest thing for people to get used to.

@@TheSCPStudio This is such an ignorant post. Not everybody utilises their brain in the exact same way. Something that might be easy to you, other people will struggle with. That's what the whole diversity of humans illustrates. Sure, practice makes perfect, but bossing in RS3 requires knowledge of setups, prayer flicking, ability usage, hotkeys, knowledge of combat bars, equipment, inventory usage. This is massively overwhelming if you're new, and means you have no idea where to even start practicing.

If you do have soul split and you want to make the biggest step you’ll ever make in your pvm journey, try to practice flicking your soul split and protection prayer. The timing is consistent once you catch the rhythm

Love the guide- I gave up on Kerapac - it takes me ages to do a kill and end up eating much more food than you do :-( I have very similar gear but unable to get good DPS - May try it again but really not having any success with pvming Been struggling with bossing. At best I can do the GWD2 bosses So frustrating as so many people are posting "easy" videos on how to do it :-) So I know that the issue is me 🤣

I wouldn't say you are the issue, it will 100% just be down to pvm experience! I have 630 hard mode kills here and thousands of boss kills overall. That makes a big difference haha. Keep practising at gwd2 and improve there then keep trying new bosses. It takes time, really it does! but you can do it :)

im exactly stuck the same way you are when it comes to pvm...idk if im too lazy to learn full manual or if its because im not good enough at my basic keybinds yet..need to get use to switching prayers/shield switch and defensives all while avoiding mechanics and clicking and then being aware of health/prayer at the same time... when did runescape get so hard? i was an OG player so the game is so much different than what i was use to and i think im stuck still thinking the game cant be that hard. wouldnt be as bad if dps checks werent a thing lol

Not sure what I am doing wrong but I go to phase 3 max and die way too fast. Watched and rewatch multiple guides and still same outcome. Eaten out all my food by the end of stage 2... Back to square one, slaying and forgetting about bossing

I don’t get how people like you can just do what you do lol. You struggle to do something and don’t even seem to try to figure out what the issue is and then just give up and move on without ever improving lol. Try recording you fights and watch them back. If you’re going through a lot of food, try to watch the moments when you eat a lot and see where the damage is coming from and then try to figure out what you can do to counter it.

when you're comfortable with food and resource management, and if your gear is tanky enough, you can debilitate kerapac pray melee and just face tank the dive attack (devoted perks help alot too), get as much dps in as possible and start skipping lightning, would recommend learning how to surge or escape to dodge the attack first but when you know what you're in for its a good way to speed up kills and skip those pesky p3 lightning walls..

Do you not use revolution bar when fighting a boss? New to bossing and been trying to maximize DPS. Also if I unlock soul split would I just use that the whole time?

Well I use full manual, so I press all my abilities myself. But a revolution bar would be fine of that is easier for you :) You would still use protect from magic here if you has soul split :)

i just tried him i'm maxed with virtus armor and nox staff. he hits like a truck the entire fight. is a wand/book better? can't afford them like but i only ever use a 2h. even with SS he still dealing more dmg than i was healing. currently got nodons as a slayer task so though why not. only managing 1 kill ( yes i suck at bosses i can't do the whole shield switch press multiple keys thing it fries my brain)

This is bullshit on mobile. He’s almost impossible to walk under properly and if you fuck one up, you can’t walk under him for all subsequent stuns and it completely screws up your damage management.

Thank you so much for this guide as I've been looking for this today as I tried Kerapac for the first time outside of groups. I did not know that using debilitate affected the lightning walls as well as Kerapac's attacks. I also didn't know walking under him cancelled out that move. This guide is amazing! I've been trying range on him for hours today with 1 kill to my belt, so I think I might switch to Magic now, as I have Vertus and Superior seasingers mixed along with cywir wand and orb. Just wondering, do you have your abilities on Revolution? Or are you manually using them? I couldn't tell from watching the guide which you were using. I'm guessing this is with auto ultimates and thresholds turned off as well?

One questions if you are using normal spellbook why use vunbomb ? For 1 extra inventory space its much cheaper to use the runes yourself.

The only time I attempted Kerapac without practice mode I got him down to 50k health and all of a sudden I was getting rapid 2-3k damage and I could not outeat his hits and I died. I raged so hard because I was so close...Havent done him since. I might consider it when the free death weeks come back. (If they do)

Not sure if you ever got it but if you use the time warp ability at the beginning of phase 3 and have enough adren, you can use devotion immediately and then spam some thresholds. When the time ability restores you, use devotion again and then build up that little bit of adren to do sunshine. If he’s still not dead then you can use debilitate to lessen his damage. If he’s not dead by then you probably gotta work on your rotations.

I tried kerepac normaly only twice, after that cryptbloom became my crutch and i can do the boss 99% afk (only need to surge when he dives down). I must say he does soon complicated to do normaly. Maybe a nice challenge on my 500th normal kill to do him manually!

OMG was so scared of kerapac before watching this, tried him, 3 attempts, first kill. definitely never doing hardmode tho arch glacor is hard enough for me. although, this is the first time I decided to just run a wand and shield camp a whole boss and this went massively better than using my nox staff. (also got the achievement for not rewinding time, good or bad for pvm standard?)

If you complete the new quest you can just dive without needing a bladed dive switch since they have separate cool-downs I believe

Regarding the slam ability; it’s a much better visual indicator to pay attention to when his wing tips come close to know when to surge. Plus it’s easier to see in your peripheral if you’re trying to do switches or something.

Eacape and surge share the same cooldown, I dont know how to deal with these 3 stuns otherwise
