He turns to bob and says, “yep.” Bob pauses and says with a realizing remark, “oh, okay.” He then replies concerned and says, “you think we should tell Mission Control?” Jeb shrugs and says dismissively, “I’m sure it’ll be fine.” Minutes later, the rocket losses control as their are no automated parts to control S.A.S., it veers to the right and aims down at the space center. It collided with the vehicle assembly building in a furry explosion as the three kerbals watch. With the fireball in sight, Valentina then says, “Oh my lord!” Bob then replies, “I know. Bill was in there, he owed me 20 bucks.” This is how I imagine this would go in the world of kerbal. I’m all seriousness, I’m super hyped for the next chapter in the ksp saga and I look forward to strand…I mean kill…I mean helping my kerbal explore the stars in a contract that definitely doesn’t have three whole wavers attached to it.

I had an experience with this game I'll never forget. I was attempting my first orbital rendezvous . I was literally attempting over and over for 5 hours straight. This was before major tutorials were available. 6AM rolls around and my father comes in the room and finds me leaned into my screen in deep focus. He asks, "Oh wow up early?". I turn around, red eyed and manic to simply shake my head and softly reply "no..." More importantly when I finally docked two craft together I jumped out of my chair and screamed "YESSSSS!!!!". I would imagine that's about 10% of what actually NASA engineers feel when their craft is successful. No other game has given me the self fulfillment this one has. Very excited for what KSP2 has to offer!

I started playing the original Kerbal Space Program in 5th grade and now study Aerospace engineering. I definitely chose this career on my own, but it would be hard to deny that KSP had no influence what so ever. It has many essential aspects and mechanics of real Space tech that it conveys very well even to young people that do not understand the math behind what is happening. I can't wait to see what they came up with for KSP 2. I have been waiting patiently and think that it was the right move to delay the release in order to assure quality. Thank you in advance I am sure this will be my new favorite!

I know this is a game about space, but those planes look gorgeous! I'm so excited for the modifiable wings, and it appears that the vast majority of the plane parts from the first game are implemented here. Hopefully there are some surprise parts (real props please!) in addition to the ability to make your own propellers using wing pieces and electric rotors.

I love Kerbal Space Program. I usually play Science mode with kerbal respawns off because it means I have to be very careful, if a kerbal dies, that’s it. Their gone. This has also let to me doing more unmanned stuff because if a probe explodes it’s fine nobody dies. My first mission to Duna was great, until during atmospheric entry. I had gotten so used to Mun missions I forgot Duna had an atmosphere, so my rover was entering without any heat protection. It exploded.

That's the early access version, only has the very basics of parts and such. Basically KSP 1, sandbox mode only, with updated graphics and software. No science or missions that I'm aware of.

@@kxmapper According to statements by the dev team, it will actually have less content than KSP1 at launch. Just take the roadmap on the store page for example. Science is listed as a feature coming AFTER release. Science... something KSP1 has had for how long now? I'm all about a new Kerbal game, but seriously not about to get hyped or drop cash on a release that has less content than the original. That makes no sense at all.

I'm so hyped since 2019 to buy the game, play it and report to the dev all major bugs/problems that I could've with the Early Acess. Ksp woke up one of my big passion of mine, even a dream. Today, I have grown up, almost to an adult, and I'm strongly planning to continue my studies to reach my dream, that the first ksp had built up. Very recently, I visited a school specialized in aerotechnics, and this only confirmed my passion. So I wanna say, thank you to all the dev, whatever you have worked only in the first or the second, thank you, for waking up a new passion in some people like me. you literally won't... the minimum requirements are for a lag-free experience instead of the usual recommended, which can be misleading. If you have a 16XX or 20XX gpu, you'll be alright although it may lag in some places.

There are many new features at launch. I'm not disagreeing that the other two are problems (though I think $50 is fair albeit a bit steep) but there are definitely new additions we should not be ignoring. Procedural wings, improved VAB functionality, part customization, plus improved graphics

@@jzjzjzj Literally not true. Wings have kinda been made procedural in mods, but not nearly as cleanly. Built in control surfaces, custom canards, and a whole lot of tunable aspects. Procedural struts and radiators, as far as I'm aware, are completely new. Multiple craft in the VAB has never been done this way. Having subassemblies is quite the improvement. Imported time warp has been attempted with mods but even then was unstable above 10x for most craft. This will be much faster with much bigger craft. Add planned features like orbital assembly, modular colonies and supply chains? Nothing close to KSP 1 with all the mods in the world. See, this is what I'm saying. I'm not saying we shouldn't criticize the game, or lick take 2's boot. I'm saying we shouldn't make things up just for the sake of criticizing it. When you make a complaint and half of it makes no sense whatsoever it gets a lot harder to pick out the half that does.

As excited as I am for this game, I really hope they address the big problem ksp 1 has; namely how part count degrades performance drastically and building anything substantial required a supercomputer to not run at 1 FPS per minute. In general I hope they optimize this game way better.

I'm a bit disappointed that KSP2 early access doesnt come with multiplayer. Seems multiplayer is at the very end of their current roadmap, which is sad. to me it was the primary sales point and I was hoping the entire system to be built around benefiting from playing together with others but this way it seems like it's going to be a game which you'd rather play alone than in a group, even when it has multiplayer. I thought that the whole idea of colony building and expanding, possibly having a bit of survival elements with recource gathering, was powered by getting all your friends in. The way it launches into early access it seems to have less features than KSP1 when it launched. Like not even a science tree? It feels like if it wouldnt go along with new visuals it could very well also be an expansion for KSP1. Now I'd like to know why it couldnt. What's the new idea about it that needed years of development?

I was so excited, until I saw the recommended specs and the poor performance in the recent test sessions by Everyday Astronaut and Scott Manley on the super rigs you provided for them. If a 12 core Ryzen 9 7900X + RTX 4090 + 32GB RAM struggles as much as it did in the videos, I'm gonna have a very bad time :( Gonna have to sit this out for a while until it is optimised or I get a new PC. It comes out the day before by birthday too, so it was extra disappointing seeing how badly it performed.

Horrible FPS at 0:09 when water sprays 10-15 FPS from 0:13 to 0:20 Bad FPS drops at 0:31 At 0:36 when Kerbin comes into view for half a second there is a slight freeze and then it cuts to the next scene so the horrible performance isn't shown. 0:43, bad performance 1:03 too.
