Back on 1.0.5 I tested a lander intended for Duna on the launch pad. Hit the pad at 5.6 m/s and the thing still exploded. Granted, 5.6 m/s is still 20 km/h, but that's slower than school zones in Winnipeg and I'd have expected the pad to collapse. Not explode.

Every time that tune picks up to a crescendo it's always when you're doing something amazing and it sends a crazy strong tingle down my spine each time. +Spunge Bub This isn't the pre release, this is the experimental version for testing and the media group. Also, they only do pre release on steam because it has the framework for it. If you really want to participate and can't wait, you could always transfer your purchase to steam for free via the KSP store.

hmm... I think one can abuse the wheel pushing glitch to make a phantom force drive. You have a hollow capsule in which you store the drive, which is just some wheels that are precisely placed. These will push the craft. Retractable wheels for stopping acceleration. SAS will obviously be needed to keep it from going crazy. Also, it will keep accelerating, potentially reaching lightspeed or beyond. Essentially, an FTL drive if this works.
