@playnothack9 жыл бұрын
and if I am not mistaken after some other measurement of time they get upgraded to the TIE defender. also the reason not everyone flies a TIE interceptor is that they lack fuel and power for long flight they were built for battle and that's it

Are imperial pilots that bad that they never fly 20 missions, or are there just very few times pilots can fly, because you never see swarms of TIE interceptors like TIE fighters.

The Death Star utilized 9 individual nuclear fusion reactors, each of such a massive scale as to all together form the bulk of the station. Yet even with all of that power it still took about 24 standard hours to fully charge the super laser. Note: The laser did NOT have to be fully charged to destroy a planet.

Am I the only SW fan that DIDN'T have a problem with The Phantom Menace? Cause I watched the HELL out of that movie when I was little. And I still enjoy it today. As well as the next two movies after it.
@cobby40710 жыл бұрын
I feel similar. Despite everyone hating them, and even I only ever recently watch the fight scenes or all of episode 3, I feel like the prequel trilogy did something that it needed to do. It gave us some more backstory into the whole Star Wars universe, something that would've resulted in a less expandable universe than we have today. It gave us even more of an almost post-apocalyptic feel for the original films, showing us what they lost, and watching the story of Anakins slow turn to the dark side was like a Shakespeare tragedy. It wasn't brilliant by any means by itself, but it did bring the originals back, and made them even better. Essentially, the prequel trilogy was like a 3-movie ad for the originals. But the battles were great.
@MandalorV710 жыл бұрын
The Phantom Menace was the first Star Wars movie I saw on the big screen. So, I don't hate it like a lot of other people. Every movie has their low points and high points. Comparing the Star Wars movies, I have to say that Attack of the Clones has the most low points. The hole "love story" between Anakin and Padme was poorly written and acted. It is the reason why we Star Wars fans can not really look down on Twilight fans

Not sure if anyone's said it yet, but there's actually a very good reason that few Imperial pilots fly "Squints", or TIE Interceptors. They're crazy fast, heavily armed, but they have the durability of a sheet of tissue paper with a giant "SHOOT HERE" target spray-painted onto it. Squint pilots were generally a combination of brilliant and either suicidal, or just plain crazy. They had a much higher mortality rate than typical TIE Fighter pilots (Which, granted, was already over 50%), so anyone getting into an Interceptor cockpit gets in with an ego the size of the Executor and skills to back it up. Or, so they think. Then Wedge Antilles puts a quad-linked laser blast through their cockpit, which is the number 1 cure for inflated Imperial egos.

Battlefront 2 had the Y-Wing, the Tie Bomber, and the AT-ST(?) (Need confirmation on the name of the transport.). Now, for better reference he should've played Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It has every ship in this video. :)

That N64 pod racing game was definitely the best racing game that system over got. I remember trying to split collision damage across both engines so one wouldn't be more powerful than the other, if not you'd have a steering bias leading to more wall scraping. You needed to ram the other racers at later stages of the game or they'd always get around you, so it got really tense near the end when both your engines are failing and you need to ram the guy in first.

The death star uses a hyperspace reactor. They call it a hyper matter reactor. What they’re basically doing is they are accelerating a piece of matter into hyperspace, while keeping it stationary, in the reactor chamber. And so they’re basically taking the hem of that dimension’s garment and then pulling it across down into your own dimension. What results is that the material that is now belonging to hyperspace but still is in your dimension with you, and in fact the three-dimensional space itself, becomes really charged with energy because hyperspace is a higher energy dimension. Normal space, which is called real space, is a lower energy reality. And basically you are siphoning this energy from that hyperspace dimension and that’s how you get enough power to blow up a planet. Episode 4, 5, and 1 are my favorites.

you know for the republic drop ship they should've made it in to a VTOL (hover jet) since most of the time in the movie/TV show they hover most of the time. just put a few of them orange micro boosters and it'll give the effect of hovering. then in space you can use the main booster (with the exeption of other boosters to even it out). then put space plane landig gear (with breaks) and it'll have the effect of them landing. and for the Kerbins you can put those seats they have and put them into the middle to make it look like they're being dropped to their battle. after that I'm pretty sure it'll be a useful aircraft to use. PS- love your vids

Darth Vaders TIE Fighter is designated as the 'TIE Advanced X1'. It features a shield and hyperdrive, both which are features that normal TIE Fighters lack. Interesting fact: TIE fighters dont have life support systems either and rely on the pilot's suit to sustain them. They also don't take off from the ground but are 'hanged' from the ceiling of a hangar which the pilot enters from the top.

I do believe that the Y-wing, and later the B-wing were bombers/fighters, while the X-wing, and later also the A-wing were interceptors. Both were old models, but your run of the mill TIE-series fighter, while newer, followed the imperial "quantity over quality"-doctrine to the letter.The standard series didn't even include shields or landing gears to shave off expenses.

"Facilitating the Death Star's realspace propulsion were a network of powerful ion engines that transformed reactor power into needed thrust. In order for the Death Star to be a deadly threat, it needed to be mobile. Using linked banks of 123 hyperdrive field generators tied into a single navigational matrix, the Death Star could travel across the Galaxy at superluminal velocities. The incredible energies harnessed by the station combined with its great mass gave the Death Star magnetic and artificial gravitational fields equal to those found on orbital bodies many times greater in size."

Someone needs to make a gigantic space battle using these and clever editing to make them all be the same scale, then use whack a kerbal as the projectiles. That would be fantastic. Also, ion engines on space fighters works really well. It makes them behave much like jets, if you get the right balance of power and weight. Slow acceleration, banking on turns, slow to pull up and down. Makes them a pleasure to fly when you're only staying within a few hundred meters of an area.

I actually like the fact that they explained what the force was. The trade rights were mostly just a ruse Palpatine was using.
