For prospecting, I'm fairly certain there's an excavator attachment that will tell you what you've got under you. Of course, you'd then need to buy an excavator that accepts attachments. Will have to look it up when I'm playing next but I've seen people talk about it in the discord. Anyhow, making progress - great video and happy digging :)

There is a drill attachment that will tell you what kind of ore, but it's not unlocked until level 30 or something

Oh wow - that's so late. I think they need to rethink their progression a little. Some things need to be unlocked a bit earlier than they are.

100% agree. It's the first iteration of the levelling system and will no doubt be changing@@LowKey_YT

@@KerboOnYT yep, agreed. Hopefully sooner than later though. I’m almost up to 32 but I’m waiting until the big rock trucks before going further from the initial site. The smaller ones just don’t make the trips worth it and I don’t want to conveyor everything back.

I would like to see a 45 bend for the conveyer also. Would allow for more placement options

you may want to use the slopes to make your hopper wider instead of longer. that way you don't have to be as precise when dumping.
