I literally cried this morning watching the last two episodes of normal people and shazamed this song, as this got me going. I think it was needed. Nice to know that the original came from an artist I've not heard of. Will be looking for more Keren Ann

Same for me, mate. This song was perfect for the scene and anticipating what was to come. Such a brilliant story. If you like this kind of music, I'd recommend Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld. They made a brilliant concept album called Never Were The Way She Was, which reminded me of Virginia Woolf and World War One, but it's really open for interpretation. Immersive, emotional, tangible, very English imo.

White lines (idem) are carving silver (promised serenity) in strange weather (uncertainty/disarray). Also to be clear: she speaks to herself and about herself at the 3rd, 2nd and 1st person: she (herself / life / lover), you (herself / lover), I (herself).
