I bought a bmw car in US from a bmw dealer and brought it back to Malaysia. I had a small accident and needed to change my side mirror. I went to Autobavaria and was denied service by Autobavaria. They cited that they cant look at my car even though I quoted safety concerns as my side mirror was rosak. I wrote to BMW in the US complaining about Autobavaria. Two weeks later I got a call from Autobavaria and suara baik je suruh aku datang tengok kereta aku. Menyampah!

Auto Bavaria really doesn't have a skilled technician. All the skilled ones tend to open their own shop. My car stuck there for almost 2 weeks after software update. End up I have to settle it myself & reset the whole coding again. Lousy AB.

Saya beli toyota camry baru 2003. Satu kali servis kat toyota saya. Dah 20 tahun service kat indie atau sendiri. Tukar minyak hitam dan filter tu buat sendiri. No problem 20 tahun still strong. Actually this one is a policy for most cars that have recond variants sold here. But good thing for you is, that aircond vent and glovebox issue that you have? You can get it sorted here with the original parts. And be nice with the any if the technicians there and maybe you can convince them to throw you that M badge for free hehe. Alao its kinda odd that their system only reads for UK spec cars ehen technically Japan spec should be able to read into our system as well since region wise we are not far apart.

I think because language system. as I enter Japan recond car, it used Japan language for the infotainment. so maybe when try to computerised the system, it may pop up Japan language. Maybe. I am not sure, it would great if someone can explain about that.

kereta recond sekarang penyelengaraan boleh diterima di setiap pusat servis jenama masing2. tapi kena register dulu (certain kena reg fee) lepas tu baru service. service kena ikut milage berkala yg mereka dah tetapkan .. kita tak boleh request ikut suka kita apa yg nak kena service.tapi waranty kereta kita dia tak cover tapi di suruh kita ikut jadual berkala dia 🤣🤣🤣. paling best labour cost charges double weiii drp pemilik kenderaan yg beli secara rasmi drp mereka. undang2 cam vavi 😂😂😂😂. minya tertentu kita tak boleh beli di luar sebab mereka dah lock dan tiada 3rd party yg boleh dapat utk jual terbuka diluar. kecuali korang beli direct online drp luar 😅. pandai tak pakcik niaga? hahahaha

Servicing at authorised dealers are more than just servicing the car... Yes , they are many capable foreman and workshops outside but of course , when you do it at the dealer, its more than just a service to your car. You pay for the ambience, environment , comfort etc. Having said all that, when you dont need those, feel free to seek one outside. Of course, I myself service all my vehicles outside once the warranty is over. I think 1k for a membership fee, so call, its pretty ok, not expensive at all. Porsche charges way more for a recond, if you want to go in. So for BMW, its pretty good value if they allow you to service your car there

@im_jrsong yeah agree, of course you still need to pay for it. Since it's free now, then you can just opt to try it out, 550 for regular service is extremely cheap. But I wouldn't suggest that you return to authorised dealer , if there are fixes necessary because its a recond , it will cost a bomb, and since its a BMW, some parts you can use OEM to replace but you know , at authorised service centre obviously you can't do that. Just an example a lower arm maybe 3k but at AB perhaps double. But since you are a youtuber for cars, you would probably know better and have more knowledge on it than me

@im_jrsong but seriously BMW and Mercedes are the easiest of the continentals to maintain , at least in the cars that I owned, in comparison to the rest like Porsche, Audi ,Range Rover , Jaguar.. So its a relatively good choice by far, won't kill you definetely. But 118i M sport is a decent car, engine robust not too fast but competent, gearbox shifts are great

Lebih baik hantar service centre walaupun mahal. Sebabnya bengkel luar ni cakap saja pandai tapi result lagi banyak rosak dari settle problem asal. Bengkel2 ni banyak yang dia tak tahu tapi rasa pandai dari yang certified technicians. Contohnya kedai radiator tuang air dengan coolant sedangkan spec mesti guna premix coolant. Akhirnya injin panas rosak serta gearbox rosak sekali. Just becoz harga luar 400 lebih murah akhirnya kereta keluar modal 10k untuk major repair

Patutlah engine BMW pakai tak lama masalah, service center nak bagi customer happy dia suruh tukar minyak hitam setiap 12,000km atau 12 Bulan sekali atau mana2 dtg dulu. Kawan minyak hitam paling lama 6 Bulan je Dan sebaiknya klau nak pakai lama tukar paling lewat 7000km. Service luar je atau belajar buat sendiri lah kawan boleh tukar minyak hitam lebih kerap Dan murah. Itu untuk minyak semi or mineral yg murah. Fully synthetic boleh je sampai 15k km no problem.

@@incisor78 better not even if it is petrol high mileage engine oil if you understand the chemistry of engine oil. Nak pakai kete short term go ahead but kalau betul2 nak Jaga max is 7000km or better still 5000km. Sy guna Shell Rimula Ultra 5W30 bro
