I don't understand why people say they like her old stuff but not her new. Face it, it is her music, it tells us in a way, what she is feeling at the time she comes up with it, it captures her spirit regardless if it is "mainstream" or unique to her or whatever. I like her music no matter whether new Kerli or old. Kerli has always been a pioneer in her pretty much solo genre.

Frankly, I love this song. To me it's uplifting. When my world is crumbling down, Kerli does make it better. This song takes me from that place that just makes me want to curl up into a small ball and stop existing and makes me feel better. Like everything will be okay. The style doesn't matter to me. That makes so much sense since at one point in the video it pans to the pills on the couples in table and it pans back to the male caressing the womans cheek after he had removed her wig. Kerli writes such beautiful music.

@@bulkpaq4713 You're obviously a little late, I wrote this comment back when fans of Love Is Dead were still heavily criticizing her and her songs for moving in a electronic pop direction. Was I also wanting to be edgy? - probably, but mainly I was just pissed because her music was being discredited for being plastic and fake and I felt that people were missing the point of it all. Honestly, as much as I prefer her older style, I'm actually happy she's happy. It's a natural transition for any songwriter. When you're sad, you write sad songs, when you're happy, you write happy songs. Her style hasn't changed that much, it's just much brighter now. Even in her early works, as "dark" as they seemed, there was an undertone of hope. Now she's emerged from it and is still singing. And lastly, I like how she is STILL able to be "sexy" without being "slutty". Kerli is Kerli.

I'll never understand why anyone finds this to be "soulless" compared to her first album? Yes, it's a much more upbeat song but if you actually pay attention to the lyrics-- it's a very positive message to be found. It's all fine and dandy if it doesn't tickle your fancy or fall into the genre you personally enjoy, but that doesn't mean this song is horrible.

It is truly sad to read some of these comments sometimes. People are so self-absorbed they honestly don't seem to care about others. I've seen 'fans' of hers that complain about her music style, but don't care in the least what is behind the music. If all you care about is the type of music she makes, not the person who actually sings it, then you are not a fan of *her*. You are a fan of that genre of music. Which is fine and great. But why put down someone who sings so beautifully simply because you want to have a temper tantrum. First, it is HER voice. Second, it is HER music. Third, it is HER life. Stop acting like an over controlling parent and be a TRUE fan. Love her for who she is. I've listened to her older music as well as her newer music. I like both styles. But what I find I like the most is how much more she lights up in her newer videos. Her voice expresses a happiness the older songs lacked. A song is just a song, but the person who sings it, brings it to life. Stop whining and complaining so much people. If you don't like it, there are plenty of other artists out there I am sure would love your support in the genre *you* prefer. So how about you head to their videos and show some love. Beautiful voice, beautiful videos, beautiful music, Kerli. Keep up the amazing work. I truly hope you stay happy. Though, I will probably love your music either way. They are like various chapters in my life played out to different rhythms. Love it. You have earned a new fan.

I agree her new music is much "lighter" in the sense that it's happier and in many ways stronger than her older "darker" music. Something major has happened in Kerli's life that has made her feel stronger than ever before, she's sharing that with us and I love it! As someone who has been though the type of change she has I can't say I'm suprised that her music has reflected that. Once your out of that dark place the light tends to touch every aspect of you and that comes though in her new music.

+Candy Pop Actually. Kerli didn't sell out in any shape or form. She performed most of these songs via livestream in her old format. She has been asked why she changed her style after being gone for so long, and her words were along the lines of "I was in a dark place when I wrote all of Love Is Dead" You can watch her music videos and see the remnants of Love Is Dead being her bubble gum goth style, to the lyrics, to how the videos and songs tell a story. She chose syntho-pop and dance for this album because she felt it mixed well with the happier tones of this album, as opposed to the dark rock vibe her freshmen album. If you don't have the ears or brains to figure this out on your own, don't go saying things that are stupid.

I actually think it's quite the opposite. She seems so much more passionate about her music now than she used to. Not to say she didn't have passion with her previous work, but back then I think it was more... (I'm not sure how to say it... Blowing off steam?) everything sounds and feels so much more whole hearted now and just by keeping up with her on social media, she seems much more excited about her work.

The song, a synthpop/electronic dance track, was written after Kerli’s best friend’s cancer diagnosis was reversed, which inspired its lyrics’ message that encourages listeners to be thankful and “to never judge anybody because you don’t know what’s going on in their lives”. It’s accompanying music video, which amplifies this message, was released in December 2012 I think she feels right at home at this song considering she wrote it for a friend as a show of support, you should know that she wrote it for a reason, an upbeat message after her friend's cancer diagnosis was reversed

amazing kerli, you are an inspiration. a wonderful young lady, truly a humble and talented artist.
If you watch confession throne she says her management from the record company made her make a video with no characters and no story ;-;

I’m sorry time, fate, and tragedy made me forget this soul healing banger. And the incredible artist that made it. I’m back now for whatever it’s worth.

Why is this video so mainstream... I miss the old kerli😔

I love the song but I think it could've had more lyrics. It feels repetitive all verses.

She was pushed by her label to make this and it's obvious.

don't worry, she still knows how to sing it... that fact that she did that in the first place, be happy... just replay that video as much at you need to get you happy-on... =) It's a brilliant work, on so many levels, that I can't blame anyone for wanting more of the same from Kerli!
