@lou6269 ай бұрын
The book , right? It would be pretty cool yeah. Who do You think would play Utterson?
@iliketea14279 ай бұрын
@@lou626 well I do greatly prefer the book plot over the musical plot (like seriously why did they have to add those love interests/triangles?! Why did they have to portray Hyde like that? And Jekyll as well! Why did they have to make Utterson have a smaller role?! And where was the mystery?!), but I also am really obsessed with most of the musical's soundtrack (the one with Andy Warlow obviously, I don't really like the Broadway version) so I can't decide. But a book accurate version would be so refreshing! Also I'm not too familiar with the muppets (because it's been so long since I last watched it) but my mind keeps thinking of Gonzo for Utterson (idk why but my brain has no reasoning for this; I can't stop picturing it but I feel like it's both right and wrong). Though I repeat that I am not a muppet's expert and am having a tough time with this. Although I can picture Gonzo saying "If he be Mr. Hyde, I shall be Mr. Seek" (and istg this line better be included in a muppets version because it is a jem! )

Now that I think about it, having the Muppets perform the Curious Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with one being played by a human actor and the other a muppet would be brilliant
@the-dragon-invasion-is-near9 ай бұрын
Oh my god????? Using a puppet works so well??? Like, usually, in live performances when one people is doing confrontation they do the "one side of the face has long hair and they spin one side or the other depending on who is talking" and while it can work ok, it's really hard and a lot of performances look flat either because there is not much to look at or because the singing is difficult. And i'm aware that this is anthony warlow's recording (the best version of the jekyll & hyde musical btw), but the visuals of the show look so much better than a guy spinning and trying to sing two people's parts at the same time. (It's also, really, REALLY funny, we stan kermit hyde)
