3:10:49 okay so clarification on how this spell works for those who are new to dnd. It’s not the DC that is modified it’s the roll for the saving throw that is modified, but regardless the lady would have saved against it because 19 - 2 = 17 meaning “it meets, it beats”. If it was the DC then nobody would use this spell because people would easily save against it making you waste a spell slot. Also Monty was looking at the +5 wrong because it’s for Secondhand (you have heard of the target), firsthand gets a +0, I blame the unorganized text wall for getting the numbers and what there attached to jumbled around.

I do think it would be better if the persons scrying had to make the roll and the DC was modified. that way if you have a villain that is spying on the party, the players won’t know about it until it’s to late.
