I love it when Kermit gets excited, he comes to life! That is the beauty of being Kermit Weeks, you have experienced and seen so much that I would love to have seen myself, but I'm over here in murky, soggy UK where the best we can hope for, is a glimpse of a Kermit Weeks video, to imagine what it was like. THANK YOU KERMIT, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!!

Sir, I just love your passion for aviation. I wish to get vintage aviation myself. I'm currently trying trying to get into an aviation school that could get me a job, working with vintage aircraft. It's a start, but what I originally want to do is become a pilot and fly them. I'm gonna get into maintenance or try for a flight school. May you stay thriving in vintage aviation, my friend

Must be a great show these guys put on. They have WWII covered. Oh...And WW1. World Class collection.

I remember working on Tinker Belle in the 90's when she was parked at the CAF hangar at Camarillo, CA. It brings back memories seeing her again. It was great to see both Tinker Belle and China Doll the CAF's other C46 parked side by side.

These ragplanes are just the best! And I love how in many places they're in a wooden truss hangar. It just has early XX century in the air.

The Bleriot was built by a guy in Quebec who built 2 identical aircraft. The first one was flown locally by a local pilot who got crashed it on the first flight. The flight including the crash is on youtube. It was evident that the airplane was quite controllable and could do more than just straight hops but it appeared to me that the pilot became over confident and started to demand more than the aircraft was capable of and he wrapped it in a ball. He emerged more or less unscathed. The guy who built it was pretty upset. He sold the 2nd one to this museum before it was flown. I saw it throughout its construction. It’s a work of art. The builder is an electrician by trade and an rc modeler. He seems to be able to do anything with his hands. Wood work, fabric, sheet metal, he just figures it out. He built just about every part of that machine from scratch except the turnbuckles and the spoked wheels.

I didn't get to make the show this year, so sad. Last year for my birthday my girl bought me a ride in the Stearman. One of the coolest experiences of my life.

Thanks for sharing kermit. I was at the show with my rocketry group and we had a table set in front of the pulse jet engine. I have grown up around the museum and it has inspired me to get started in aviation. Im joining army reserves as a helicopter maintainer and after basic will go to school and get my airframe and power plant license. It’s always been a dream of mine to work in the fighter factory there.

A bit of advice, do not visit here in the summer unless you like a sauna with your airplanes....great museum. Could use a little more access to airplanes, like a stair up to the cockpit or cabin to just look inside like they have at NEAM Windsor Locks CT.

Great videos of this amazing facility. Back in the late 60's trough to mid 70's I had a model pulse jet powered control line aircraft. It went like a bat out of hell but It took me a while to learn how to start it quickly and easily. I wonder how the Germans started the Argus engine when they had a load to launch quickly. I used to tip a load of neat petrol down the intake and turn the air and spark on almost together.
