What if there are multiple application servers and CI on same system?? We have to upgrade kernel on all the application and CI separately ??

You need to apply kernel only on pas as in aas server it will copy through sapcpe tool as we have common mount point for all servers

Good information what if many application server available that time what is the procedure

We will perform kernel in primary application server and all the application server will have common mount point so it will automatically upgrade in all others server as well, if not then you need to use command sapcpe pf=instance profile

Then it will copy the executables from global instance to additional instance

If both are in same host then use stopsap r3 this command will stop only application db will not stop
