I was able to get a load of Kerosene samples from a Polish shop called Lulua online (I highly recommend them, brilliant service), around summer, and got a full bottle of Dirty Flower Factory, definitely got a wow factor that wakes the senses, reminding me of spring/early summer walks in the countryside close to where I live, fresh, spicy, vibrant, floral, a powerhouse, love it. Anyhow, I can't say what I love about coffee-themed perfumes that I have come across, because if coffee hasn't been a piece of a jigsaw to build a bigger picture wherin the note doesn't stand out (to me), independently, I don't think I have smelt a coffee perfume that evokes coffee, to me, without being subdued by, I don't know, caramel aspects, what have you, sometimes darker things, but not coffee...so, actually being a big fan of the smell of coffee, and loving the description of aromas wafting out of cafes, I would literally kill my imaginary children to get a chance to not only try this, but to be won over by it, overdose on it, and to be found dead, laying in a pool of it, by confused police with a sudden craving for donuts. Always great to see John... Hes seriously one of the most thoughtful and kind people you can meet in this community. Very happy with his success and some of the great fragrances he has created. Fields of rubus, unknown pleasures, broken theories and copper skies are some of my favorites from his line. I think fields of rubus is an underrated scent.. Has a really great long lasting dry down... I would love to smell his new fragrance as I am always interested in all his creations. He has some really GREAAAT GREAAAT performing scents that are very unique. Broken theories his dark smokey scent actually fits the story of the fragrance to the T. one spray of that and you will smell it on you all day.. But it isn't cloying. Very impressive creation. I love coffee, and i know he is a master with dark notes... IM gonna guess this is a really good scent. Enjoyed the video.. John looks calm and collective... but I am not surprised he had everyone giggling.. Guy has a great sense of humor.

I have started liking coffee scents after sampling intoxicated from by kilian. it is a wearable a men without the tar note which I despise. next came pure tonka, which made a men an actual gourmand fragrance and I bought it on the spot. before I started drinking coffee I loved the smell whenever my parents were preparing theirs, unfortunately I couldn't drink it because it gave me heart palpitations. now I can cherish the one coffee I can drink a day without it giving me anxiety, so I love coffee based fragrances because they allow me to enjoy coffee more (time-wise). Loved the video, I watched John as a reviewer, bought some fragrances because of his reviews and love them to this day f.e. Ambre by Baldessarini, new Haarlem etc., tried 2 fragrances from his line Broken Theories and Copper Skies, love the complexity the uniqueness and the strength of them, I really like the smell of coffee, tried many of them but unfortunately didn t found my holy grail coffee scent, maybe this would be it, because no fragrance gave me the intensive coffee scent which I wanted to smell and by the description of Follow I think this fragrance would be great, I live in Europe - Slovakia. Never had a change to try Kerosene fragrances but I have always heard good things :) smell of coffee always reminds me of my fathers, they had a coffee shop, so every morning I was blessed by that roasted freshly grounded coffee, much like the inspiration John Pegg had to create this perfume, to me it's a nostalgic trip and fond memories. Sebastiane - Espresso Royale is a deep, dark roast whereas Piotr Czarnecki - Sensei is a coffee mixed with other darker elements like spiced rum (to my nose), and Thierry Mugler A*Men Pure Coffee is a sweeter coffee mixed with the signature patchouli drydown of the A*Men line. So great to see John. I remember some of the great comedy sketches at the end of his videos, like 'Cologne Guy' when John sprayed himself in the face about fifty times, it was genius. I'm not a huge coffee lover myself. I will have a cup from time to time but not like I cannot function properly if I didn't have a cup of it in the morning. That being said, I prefer the smell of coffee than the actual taste of it. I have few coffee based scents and I quite enjoy the edible aspect of it. Hi! First of all great review and interview. It's always interesting to see/listen to the personality of the creators. I would love to have Follow because I would gift it to my younger brother. I have a great respect and appreciation for my brother. His birthday is coming up and he has excelled in academics and athletics. I think this fragrance would be the perfect gift for him. This was great... I really enjoyed the MANY personal things that were added to the ''outtakes' as it seemed like everyone was having such a great time... I really enjoyed seeing them just in the flow of the normal conversation... Awesome interview... Really good seeing Kerosene all these years later doing so well in the fragrance game... I love the smell of coffee and I don't have a coffee based scent. I have always been a fragrance lover but once my favorite scent was discontinued I went on a hunt to find one I love just as much. Excellent interview with John Pegg, enjoyed! I love many of Keroscent scents and have five (5) full bottles: Broken Theories, R'Oud Elements, Unforsaken, Unknown Pleasures and Wood Haven. I didn't really have a favorite until I picked-up Broken Theories back in February...love that stuff, and very underrated in the fragrance community IMO. Some fragrances I am hoping to try are Copper Skies, Santalum Slivers and Dirty Flower Factory in the future. The only fragrance that disappointed me was Wood Haven. It's still a nice ginger and vetiver scent, but I was just expecting something a bit different from this one. What pisses me off is there are a handful of Kerosene haters who go onto sites like Fragrantica and bash his scents and vote dislike without ever having sniffed them. Can't stand these knuckleheads. Seriously, they vote fragrances such as Copper Sky and Unforgiven as disappearing in 1-2 hours and being skin scents. LOL! As far as Follow goes...I love the smell and taste of fresh, black coffee, but it's a challenging note when used in fragrance. I do have a handful of coffee dominant fragrances that I love, but most fall flat in a lot of ways. Personally, I love it when the coffee comes across as strong & black or rich and creamy (like coffee with creamer)...but I'm not a fan of coffee scents that smell like cappuccino or a caramel-mocha latte. To me, it completely ruins the smell of the coffee and is akin to missing in one's bowl of Wheaties. Love the outtakes...after all, who doesn't love the smell of Morning Wood!!! LOL! Regardless, since I am a huge Kerosene fan (and felling Detroiter) I would love to sample John's latest creation and his interpretation. Having another full-bottle of this Kerosene fragrance here in Virginia will make my day. :)

I've been on the hunt for a coffee scent and this seems perfect! I am a barista so I smell coffee a lot. I wanted something that was rich and dark. I've been wanting to try Kerosene frags for quite some time. So this would be a great start. USA.

I do not own any coffee scents but would love to find one. I'm big coffee drinker but I love the smell. Haven't gotten a chance to try Kerosene Fragrances yet. I am in the US.
