I am totally all in for this important discussion involving us that in many ways than one can affect or impact our lives indefenselessly. Well, this is indeed troubling even for me as a Gambian and a huge problem for all of us.. And as Gambian, what I am about to say will hit home and probably rub some very thin skins and shallow minded people the wrong way. I am not here to step on anyone toes or ruffle anyone feathers or to sugarcoat just to please few and upset the many vulnerable and defendless people. This is my take on these issues, In order for us to classified ourselves as decent and functioning normal society, we must abide by certain moral codes of principles and characteristics by changing our systematic way of man-handling and wrongfuly treating each other in a very disadvantageous manner . As Gambians, we should stand against any selective preferential special treatment given to few as custodians for immunity protection while the rest are indiscriminately left to defend themselves in any given situation or crisis..If we want to change as a Nation, We must put on our grown people pants 👖 or skirts and stand up for the truth without fear or favor and represent Gambia with authenticity and in return, Gambia can protects us Judiciously on every legal and moral grounds.. Like Mr.Manneh eloquently said, we are a reflection of the Gambia and inadvertently, what we are dealing with on the outside of ourselves on a daily basis is our own projections base on the right or wrong attitudes that can indeed affect us..When we change the inside of who we think we are and tap into the true and authentic selves that God made us to be , which is a representation of God's imaged then only then, we can expect change drastically within our inner selves and Gambia will begin to change and improve for better. ".Know thyself and the truth shall set you free" When you begin to know who you are, you would begin to know the true meaning of your representation by making wise and appropriate decision that could impact you directly or indirectly. The content of what represents you matters just as much as what you put out there .We all should take a look at ourselves in the mirror and ask ourselves who are you as a person representing and who is qualified to represent you and what is it in for you and your beloved Nation? To do that, we should pay close attention to words and actions and conjugate or distinguish the two if they are speaking the word you can literally understand and those words should not translate into Hypocrisy, Double Crossing , Not honoring one's word as a bond of agreement and stop having a" short deficit span of memory"... Seems like we Gambians like to forget easily and quickly but very slow to learned our lessons and are too bend over heels trying to erased the past so we can continue to repeat the same mistakes over and over again and again, because we think bending the rules can served only our selfish purpose but not in the interest of the Gambian people and our Nation at large..The struggle may go on , but when the going get tough, the tough gets going away. Let's hang in there and keep up pressing forward..Things would get better..That Clock ⏰ Pendulum is always swinging left right right left and finally taking Center Stage for balancing the scale ⚖ of Justice..
