Yeah baby! This is my kinda House...funky and soulful. I live in NYC and while I love House, I guess I've never been as into 'the scene' as some others apparently have. Course, I love me my Timmy Regisford, and then I discovered Tony Humphries. They were really the only House DJs I knew of. Then, thanks to the amazing KZbin algorhythm, I discovered the young but amazing... DJ Ameer. Then....Kerri Chandler (and to think he's playing keys at the same time? Wow!)...then Louie Vega (though I'd surely heard of Louie Vega...just never saw him perform until I watched one of his NYC sets)...Norman Jay (sublime!)...and Terry Hunter. And I thought I knew House Heaven before? Now I have a whole army of new DJs to follow... ;-) Based on my list of current faves here, are there any other House DJs you'd recommend for me? And BTW, I can just tell from Kerri's energy, he's genuinely a nice guy....no pretense.

Good start on who you're listening to. Spen and Karizma are fucking awesome DJ's. Also really good producers. I'd suggest on the classic house front you check songs by Ron Trent, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Joey Negro, Mr Fingers/Larry Heard, Marshall Jefferson, Victor Simonelli, Tommy Musto, Blaze, Nick Holder, Grant Nelson, Carl Craig, Chez Damier, Smack Productions, MJ Cole.
