Kerry has been my favorite guitar player since I was 15 so glad he put out new music..And being a fan for 34 years I just want to say I like the last six albums from slayer are as good as the first six..Their is amazing material on those records..You gotta do a full north American tour..Wanna see my favorite band one more time..👀I'll be back with my 2 cents on this new kk album...I'm sure I won't be disappointed...king always comes through...

I'm listening to the album and it doesn't seem to me that this is a light version of the Slayer, in my opinion this is the real Slayer as it is.Slayer's new album and very cool. Mark sings like Tom, the solos are cool, Bostaph does this at 60, after which I just completely lose respect for Ulrich's skills (but not as a person, of course), well, the rhythm of the guitar is in place, the bass. Everything is very cool.

The reality is you cant 100% always come up with something new. my issue is that this is like Metallica's new stuff. it sounds like a mix of the old stuff.. and this sounds like a mix of slayers old stuff. not that I'm not here for it.. i am. but not like the 1st time you hear the 4 horseman or south of heaven or RIB. those are so unique. everything after is more of a play on those thing. and they are very good.. DGMR. KK is KK and that isn't a bad thing. but it's not new. none of this is a complaint. just an observation. I'm happy to have more slayer/KK in my life.

King is an old skool metal'ead. Slayer arrived, did it's thing and fucked off. Now we have King keeping that flame alive; in a similar vein to many other bands that disband, or split etc. Members keep doing what they do. Its their job and u cant remove decades of aggression and expect King to decide to write a ballad, or move on and just change to suit a new(er) audience. He does metal. He has laid himself bare over the years and kept creating music for the fans. That, in itself is enough. If you like it. Great! If you dont, fine. Im sure King doesnt care as long as those who truly understand the metal scene and where he came from and why he decided to keep going. Ya know, its a lifestyle and i could imagine its super hard to just stop after all those years. At least hes creating a seperate legacy, one which will never die. We'll probably never get another Slayer. We'll get those who emulate, those who worship Slayer's sound, we'll get those type of newer bands but never again will we get a bunch of teens from the 80s cranking out music as it was, at that specific time - the right time. Newer thrash is great and i totally respect newer bands keeping the thrash flame alive but it'll never be the same. Im so glad i was a youth in the 80s and got to witness so many great bands emerge. Slayer was just one of them. They became part of me. They still are. King doing this is awesome so i am happy that theres still an old skool Kerry still making music which old skool me fully appreciates. Nice one, Kerry. And bless the fucking thrash Gods for the riffs n chaos over the years. Long live metal! 🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻
