Rony Fluk I don't expect you to be aware enough to act on my advice because cluelessness is probably a lifelong battle with you. However, little one, if you want to call some ELSE an "arrogant dick" (without inspiring the wrong kind of laughter) you might want to resist from preceding it with mindless, arrogant, closed-minded, dogma to respond to someone making a figurative description. Now if someone does not want to fail like an "ignorant dick" as you put it, they should make sure not to mimic you. Now give mommy back her computer and run along.

This is great news I wish I learned of earlier so I could share it with my husband who just went on to The Lord last Feb. He used to say its true there will be peace when you are done & he loved that Wayward Son song, saying that was him, the wayward son that Jesus redeemed & he just had to carry on until it was time to lay his weary head to rest. He would have loved to see this testimony & know that Kerry had surrendered, just as my Sparrow always thought he would. He said either that man is a Christian or he is going to be. Praise Jehovah for this testimony, it is truly awesome to hear confirmation of Kerry's faith and redemption. People often say they wish they could meet this singer or that actor, but I can say with confidence that one great day, I will meet Kerry Livgren along with everyone who has received that great gift of eternal life. Funny thing is, I used to listen to 2nd Chapter of Acts back in the day but never knew about Kerry. I never did remember band members names too well & probably skimmed right past the name a time or 2. All I ever remembered was the music. Peace & blessings, Kerry. Glad to call you brother.

I've been into Kansas since the early 70's and funny thing, I always thought their music was Christian Rock based without knowing if it was or not. I seemed to be reading between the lines of their lyrics and got a very Spiritual connotation from it. Anybody else?
@jerryadkins45285 жыл бұрын
Zorian I’ve always loved Kansas and felt the same way about their lyrics, I was born in a very strict Pentecostal home, my Dad actually built the Church I was raised in. As I got old enough I got to choose to stay home, around12? My brother, who was 12yrs older than me, was over the youth at another Pentecostal Church, which had a lot more youth, girls😂 than my original Church. He urged me to go using the girls as a bonus but that was where I really got my “real experience of salvation.” I’m 48 now and I still believe very strong but I don’t go to Church.

Regardless of what you think of his religious conversion ( I am agnostic, at best, but have great respect for Kerry and the path he chose), make no mistake, when it comes to Kansas, and the music that we know them by, Kerry Livgren WAS Kansas. He either wrote, or co-wrote virtually everything we recognize by this great band. Without Kerry Livgren, very, very few of us would have ever heard of a band named Kansas.
@pervotheclown21999 жыл бұрын
He wrote some iconic songs , but don't sell Phil Ehart , Rich Williams or Steve Walsh short because them 3 fellers put a lot of their heart and soul into the band . Ehart is the best live drummer I ever seen .

+Randy Jones I would never sell anyone in this great band short. The three times I saw them live in the 70s were among the greatest performances I've ever seen. At the end of his career with Kansas Kerry did a solo album called Seeds of change, I recall an interview where he asked Ronny James Dio to sing "Mask of The great Deceiver" and "To live for the King". Kerry had informed him of what it was about and was ok if he didn't want to do it but Ronny said he would like to do it anyway. Great song and Dio made it remarkable. A premonition to what's going on in our world today

Awesome Kerry, I to am a Christian. I’m 61 and was raised in a Christian Grade school. I also am a bass player/Lead Vocalist. That is when my allergies and sinuses arent draining down my vocal cords & crippling them. But I got into the music of Kansas and have played and sang Steve Walshes voice. I’m a Tenor like Steve. Funny, my name is Steve. I tried a few original bands in the early 80’s. But to no avail. I had the God/Jesus talent for vocals and bass playing. But didn’t work out for me. I met the late Ronnie James Dio. A night after the band I was playing in at the same club in San Piedro California. It was an honor to meet him and talk to him for about 10 minutes before the show and he told me to stop playing bass and just saying because that’s where my biggest talent was. But I told Ronnie that I wasn’t into making it I had a good paying job I was playing in and partying and chasing the girls and I was loving life and living my life. But in 1987 I went back in the military Time in the Air Force I have been in the Marine Corps for two years got tired of it. And I was a C-5 mechanic and C-141 cargo planes. But my wife after about three years in the Air Force we got married and of course she had to be a Christian. Even married for 30 years and together 31 years. I often wondered how my life would be in if I would’ve made it in the 80s band well I have strayed from my Christianity belief possibly maybe Jesus save my life from doing drugs and overdosing like so many health. Anyways I think Jesus every day for guide me in this world in my life I’m glad to hear that you and Steve washable Christians to but the music of Kansas lives on and I love it and I’ll play it till my dying day thank you for coming up with those songs you were truly a great and one of the greats rock ‘n’ roll musicians of all time thanks again Kerry maybe one day we’ll meet and be able to talk and jam that would be cool.

I'm in the camp of "I don't know." And it surprises me how unwilling people are to admit that all gods and science have significant holes in the tale of creation. What we certainly know is that something must have come from nothing. Some say god(s) or something to create a supreme being, came from nothing to create everything. Some say matter came around somehow and created life through a series of circumstances over billions of years. Both stories have stuff arriving from nowhere. No one should have a definitive reason to being sure of one over the other. In conclusion: if you believe in the big bang, you still don't know how it came to be. And if you believe in some kind of supreme being or beings, you still don't know how he/she/they came to be. Just respect others and respect yourself, and we can at least love the life we were somehow blessed with.

The problem is, there is only ONE God. No wonder you get confused. All gods and religions are not true or the same. They are false and meant to be in the way for YOU and many others finding Yaweh in the Bible.
