I bought this one on black friday for $100's off. I am loving it. It is worth the retail price. I work on pcb's and it works flawlessly. I am amazed that you can get this kind of quality for the price.

I appreciate you comparing similarly featured thermal cameras with similar form factors.

Great review. Thank you! I’ll use your link if I end up buying

Thank You for the review. The camera looks satisfactory for general use. A bit of electronics repair along with household and vehicle inspection and maintenance. I’m off to buy one.

I have another Kaiweets thermal camera review video coming out this weekend.

It would have been nice to see the video streaming capabilities that is supposedly has according to the documentation. Thanks for the review.

Interesting difference with the other device, was the label on the side of the unit mentioned it worked up to a higher 550C vs 350C.

Not bad but I am gonna wait a year or two for the price to come down. This guy needs a better lens to tempt me as I want to see more detail of SMD parts.....cheers.

@KerryWongBlog Hi, I just received the KTI-W01, the Visible Light Image & Thermal Image is miss aligned every time when I slightly moved the Imager, the Image Correction seems like only work when I secured the Imager at a fixed location. Is this normal?

Yep, this seems to be normal

Did you have any issues with the included files showing up as viruses by your AV software? I wonder if you can format that drive? I removed the .exe for the software because you can always get a newer version from their website anyway and one other file and it no longer detects any malicious files. I would like to try reformatting it though if I can.

Great review!!! Does this have a user replaceable battery?
@KerryWongBlog10 ай бұрын
Yes, the battery compartment is accessible and it's powered by a single 18650 cell.
@sh0cknock1010 ай бұрын
@@KerryWongBlog Is it a standard cell? It appears to have wires attached to it? Do you know where to purchase one? Thanks again for all your fantastic research.

9:52 "Of course you have to do this every singe time" That is going to get very annoying very quickly. I would be shouting at it: "YES, OF COURSE I WANT TO STORE IT!. I wouldn't have pressed the button otherwise" There needs to be a tick box labeled "Don't ask again".

I think that you should include information about lens to improve the close-range focus of these cheap devices. This would also show how it affects the visible light image. The lenses are easy to purchase online (at very low cost) however most people are not willing to pay USD $200 for a camera just to hope that a lens would make the unit work for parts inspection. Why don't you invest is some lens of different diameters and focal lengths and test them on your various thermal imagers?

Good day Mr Wong. This comment is not pertaining to anything in this video, instead, one of your older videos, much older video's, It is in connection with your variable dual tracking supply. I wonder 1: if you stil have and stil utilise it? 2: Could you please do an in depth video or video's showing the process of design and stabilisation? The reason I ask is, because of my location and the NAD USD ratio and import madness currently ensuing in the world, buying or even sourcing a second hand variable voltage / current linear bench PSU is near impossible right now. Switch mode supplies are a dim a dossen but in most design applications using a cheap switch mode is looking for trouble. But, to get hold of even a decent entry level linear bench supply that can do 5A max @ 30 volts and is adjustable is VERY expensive right now. Would you be willing to do this?

That was a project 10 years ago. Wondering if you have access to LM338 in your region? As that LDO can handle 5A.

Any reason your website, which runs on WordPress, uses an insecure connection?

@KerryWongBlog What kind of server are you using? Let's Encrypt is free. I run multiple HTTPS domains just fine on a $5/month VPS. If you are using shared and they don't support ACME certificates then they are probably a garbage provider.
@KerryWongBlog Жыл бұрын
@@soundspark Thanks! I will need to look into Let's Encrypt a bit when I get a chance.
