This song hits harder than ever to me right now. A few months ago I dropped a close friend for some problematic behaviors that I noticed, and she said she respected it. Now something to know is that pretty much all of my friends are part of the LGBTQ+ community, and she appeared to be very respectful of that. After we stopped being friends, I found out that she had been saying some very transphobic things about me and my friends (deadnaming us, not using our pronouns, and more)and even called my best friend the trans slur.
