I wouldn't have been a SNSD fan if it werent for fansubs and forums back in the day. Seeing those pink subtitles brought back so many memories of staying up late at night watching music show videos before they got deleted. We had to wait weeks if not months for subbed variety content to be uploaded. If you're lucky, you'll find it split into 5 parts in 360p quality spread across youtube, dailymotion, etc.

7:33 is the performance at Dream Concert 2013 and the truth is that each fandom has its own seat. However, when SNSD performed, it seemed like all the audience shouted the fanchant loudly as if it was their idol. You can find fancams to better understand the heat of that performance. And I'm confident that it was the most explosive performance at Dream Concert until today.

Sorry for the long reply just wanted to add on 😂It was honestly, and Sones part was also not even that big but in that moment every single person in the crowd was singing along, the broadcast even adjusted the crowd noise raised the girls voice and it was still that loud, and SNSD still to this year remain the only gg to have done the ending stage for Dream Concert for 2 years, and their songs, ITNW and Party have been played at the end when all artists come on stage to interact with fans💘

Ty so much for this. Please, please check out Tiffanys’ album in US, mv Lips On Lips but album is just right for you all! One song with Babyface (Runaway) and Not Barbie is a classic. 2019. She moved back to US to record her own songs, learn more about production, etc. She lived with TaeYeon for 12 years and is close with all members. SNSD concert performances are legendary! Genie live at Madison Square Garden. 💜💜💜

Hi guys! Girls Generation is huge! I hope you see their concerts at the Tokio Dome, especially the one that starts with a UFO! Tiffany is my bias. Such high energy! If you heard about the North Korean soldier that escaped through the DMZ! While recovering in the hospital after being shot, they played the mv of Gee, he liked it alot! Sooyoung is my bias of this group. I saw her first in the Kdrama Run On and then saw So i married the Anti Fan and she had a karaoke scene where she was drunk and not singin very well and I just knew she was an idol from that, so looked it up and was pleasantly surprised to see she was apart of Girls Generation. I knew of GG but didn't know any of the members except Taeyeon. That's where my deep dive started on them.

Owoowoo's guide is the 'best' that I've seen...really well curated and edited. Allow me to provide some extra background and context, and point you to some of the sources owoowoo used, as well as a few that are worth your attention that weren't included (but could have been). In the ten years following SM's origination of the K-pop music/entertainment genre (in 1996, with the debut of the group H.O.T), fourteen Girl-Groups had debuted, of which approximately 1/3rd lasted 2 years (or less!), about 1/3rd made it to 5 years, and roughly the remaining third were just 2-3 years old. Of all these, S.E.S., Fin KL, Jewelry and Baby Vox were the most successful, but overall, 'Boy-Groups' dominated the K-Pop genre in sales, awards and general popularity. SM debuted the 12/13-member 'Super-Junior ' Boy-Group in 2005 and hot on the heels of their rapid success, they announced their plans to form a 'female Super Junior" with a similar number of members. While Super Junior were well received, the response of many 'K-Netizens' to a female equivalent was far from enthusiastic. Until then, the majority of Girl Groups were 3-4 members, while the 5-member groups of Jewelry and Baby Vox both actually 'burned through' 10 members each while 'active' , so plenty of K-Netizens were convinced SM's possible 11-member group would fail almost immediately, due to internal rivalries, personality clashes and/or various personal ambitions. Others thought that such a large group must be made-up of just 2 or three actual talents, with the rest being 'debut-rejects', as 'filler' to satisfy the 'super-group' gimmick. And some commenters wondered how the heck they'd be able to "learn all their names", and why should they even bother when the group clearly "wasn't going to last 2 years", at-best! So...despite the SM 'pedigree' , the success of the 'Super Girls' (as they were called, pre-debut) was far from certain. Throughout 2006, SM tried various line-ups, from 9 to 13 potential members. Sooyoung was one who was included in every potential formation, while Tiffany often found herself "on the cut-line" . By the end of 2006, SM settled on an 11 member group...BUT then THREE of the chosen girls quit (two of them have remained close friends of SNSD, despite leaving the K-Pop industry entirely) Meanwhile, Sunny had been training for 5 years only to have her imminent group debut cancelled as her father's agency ran out of money (something like that, anyway). She was advised by her friend and equally suddenly unemployed 'group member' to audition at SM. Though the CEO of SM, Lee Sooman, was in fact her uncle, she passed her audition on her own merits, without anyone knowing of the family relationship, and was added to the 'Super Girl' line-up only 5 months before their debut. The group name "So Nyuh Shi Dae" was proposed by an unknown SM staff member who left the company before their debut. The name was the exact title of a song from 1989, written and performed by Lee Seung-chul and his Rock band. Because it had been a hit back then, the name was presumably approved in-part for that positive connection. The girls, however, HATED the name, as it translated literally to "Age of Maidens"~~the girls were hoping-for a current and "cool" 'English' name, not some throwback to the year most of them were born. (As it turned out, Lee Seung-Chul was very protective of that song, and turned down many requests by other artists to 'cover' it, BUT not only did he allow SNSD to cover it, he performed it with them, live on stage. (I''ll add that SNSD's version is WAYYY BETTER than the original). Oh...it's getting late, and this is already long. I'll drop a follow up comment with some recommended SNSD variety shows etc. Guaranteed to be interesting and hilarious...because that's just the SNSD way. Hope you like the info. Laters!

This guide is arrange by age. Coincidentally, this part 1 is the Unnie/Older sister, the Vocalist (+ maknae), the Musical Actresses, the "Shorty", and considered dorky. Waiting for part 2 which is mostly the Younger members (except Hyoyeon and Yuri), the Dancers, the TV/Movie Actresses, the Tall members (except Hyo😅 that is still growing), and the chaotic (in a fun way)🤣.
