was just at their concert 2 nights ago and let me just say, i've been a long time fan of theirs and i know KNOW how phenomenal their voices are- both individually and together as a group but hearing them live and in-person was like a whole otherworldly experience. it was my first concert of theirs and i haven't gotten over that high yet. still so speechless over that experience. every performance they were able to sing live, not to mention WHILE dancing. the professionalism was INSANE, there were times that a member had to miss a performance for health reasons and the rest of the members quickly adapted. (thankfully she seemed to be recovering well from what ive seen the next day). SUCH QUEENS. they truly deserve the recognition they're getting now.

Wow, I love how BINI is starting to infiltrate into K-pop reactors' videos. I'm a new BINI fan myself, finally really got into them 2 weeks ago. haha As a Filipino American, it's finally refreshing to see a girl group from Philippines that's on par with the Kpop standard, if not, better. And I can confidently say that this group is definitely the Filipino version of... you ready for this? DREAMCATCHER! Yes, our ult group! (longtime Insomnia here). Now wait, hear me out. Yes, they are definitely on the opposite sides of the genre spectrum. But if I'm being honest, if Minx had succeeded back then, their songs would've sounded like BINI's. I'm not joking. All 15 women from both groups are talented in singing, dancing, rapping, and visuals. Positions don't matter because they can do everything. And like DC, you'll have a hard time picking a bias (I first picked Colet 1:00 but Aiah 3:50 is right up there). And this is in no way of comparing who's better, but if it helps you to remember the members, I'll describe each BINI member by which DC member they remind me of. Oldest to Youngest 1:09 (Aiah) - Jiu: oldest who acts like the youngest, has a sweet voice, super sweet and kind, Visual of the group 1:00 (Colet) - Sua: Ace of the group, looks mean and angry 1:42 (Maloi) - Yoohyeon: strong heavenly voice, toothy smile, goofy af 1:44 (Gwen) - Dami: looks fierce, but is a baby, super chill, Yoohyeon: slim and toll 0:48 (Stacey) - Handong: sultry deeper voice, girly girl, "middle child" of group 1:13 (Mikha) - Dami: Cool main rapper with interesting voice, the one that first catches your attention when you see her, super chill and calm #2 1:20 (Jhoanna, leader) - Siyeon: main main vocals, they look similar in different angles (in fact, it was my sister who brought them to my attn years ago because she said Jho reminded her of Siyeon, esp. in "Strings" MV), kind of a weirdo haha 1:25 (Sheena) - Gahyeon: youngest and cutest, Sua: main dancer who makes up choreo for their songs, the "mother" of the group And to cherry top it all off (har har), they are ALL chaotic, funny, and unserious about their idol image. I'm telling you, they're the Filipino version of DC: strong (live) vocals, synchronized choreo, down to earth and chaotic. And if you thought this song had everything you wanted and needed...phe-wey! you're in for a surprise with the rest of their Discog. Pantropiko, Karera, and I Feel Good are some of my favorites.

Karera had been the graduation song of many universities and schools in PH in this year, and they have been a comfort to many of us. Thanks for the reaction! You two have been sleeping on BINI and PPOP (Philippine Pop/Pinoy pop) for a while now, hahaha. It's all good, we're just happy you gave them (BINI) a chance. Claims to fame with PPOP: 1. TALENT borne out of insane hardwork. Positions are just a formality. Each member can sing, rap, and dance. 2. Vocals are always on point, and not just as a group. Each member must be able to sing, and harmonize with their bandmates. 3. Live performances are always lit. PPOP groups love performing, and lip-synching is frowned upon in the Philippines. So you will get live vocals + live choreo every single time. 4. PPOP idols are relatable and chaotic. They don't have filters (nor do they have an idol image) 5. Philippine music has so much influences, and a good chunk of it is western. This makes it (in my opinion) instantly relatable to international audiences. From now on, may we recommend that when you begin diving into BINI (and any other PPOP groups in the future), once you're done reacting to a song's MV, you should also react to the live vocals of the song (Wishbus/Wish 107.5 channel is the standard for live vocals of Filipino artists), and then the dance practice? The live versions are typically better than the MVs. In fact, the audio mixing in the MVs are usually done in such a way as to mimic how the group actually sounds live--not the other way around. You're blown away by BINI's vocals? Yeah, that's really how each member sounds in real life. There's very minimal, if ever, post-processing on their vocals. In PPOP, MVs are just the, ahem, "Cherry on Top" of the live. Welcome to the BINI & PPOP rabbit hole. And we will take you down even further, so strap yerselves in!

They've been kinda underrated because some of their MV's are blocked in specific countries internationally so few of YR can only see them, not until today. But their choreo are like literally everywhere which you should check. I've started watching them because of Kpop Group UNIS cover called "Pantropiko" originally from BINI, I didn't regret looking into it, they're literally talented. I as well dig deeper into their choreo and it is refreshing I have never been obsessed with their choreo, I think it is new for me personally which I have never seen in Kpop but their cute concepts reminds me of Twice a lot. My favorite songs from them is "LAGI" though I don't understand it fully but I'm obsessed. They are the only few groups I have seen doing Dance Practice with Vocals, they're versatile just that I think some of the producers are gate keeping them, I'm pretty sure they can all Rap but surely they're all main vocalist. Philippines is a hidden gem they should get more attention, and I hope this is their Era.
