Hey Frag, nice run. When you found the BL2 I was sure you would replace the charge laser. My thinking was that with the charge ion and the ion stunner you could strip shields all the way down keeping the ion effect on, whereas with just the ion stunner it would always expire. Obviously it worked out well when you found the Flak 1 later, but can you explain why Dual/ChargeL/BL2/IonSt is better than Dual/BL2/ChargeI/IonSt?

Michael Goetze dear people who seems to know about the game well, why are long ranged scanners so good, and should i start buying them instead of ignoring them, scrub that i am, when playing with pauses on normal?

DarkAngelZz59 because jumps with enemy ships will net you more scrap, on average, than jumps without, and it's all about picking up as much scrap as possible. (Also you can avoid stuff like ion storms if your ship is not suited to handle them.)
