Both are beautiful birds, but the barn owl with its snowy white underside is my favorite. It appears as if your hand would sink in if one were to hold it.

@@dianevanweelie5233 I get that💖. From the behaviour though I like that kestrels make sure to feed every chick the same amount and care for everyone the same. It was also very fascinating to see one kestral male learn to care for his chicks when the mother left due to her constant angst. Barn owls are also very caring but it still a little sad that the biggest chick gets fed the most and if a chick dies it will be fed to rest, but I know this is just part of nature.
