Just heard this playing in the credit sequence of episode 5 of Dexter: New Blood! I've known of this band for a while now, but somehow, I hadn't heard this song before! Michael is such an incredibly talented man. He's nailed every single role he's ever gotten, and everything he touches seems to glow. I've never seen him fail at anything!! Yet another masterpiece. I am constantly torn between getting the Dexter references and being slightly annoyed at them because yes, Michael C. Hall is more than Dexter. Way more. Yeah, there's a lot to unpack here. On top of that, artist interpretation. and the lyrics were written by one person and the video was probably another person(s). I'd read the lyrics over a few times, even make notes. I'm not saying anyone will completely understand it but it's helped me. Looking for (repeated, odd, unusual-quiet, loud, drawn out...) phrases or classical imagery is often a good hint where the artists mind may have been. And lastly, the song is titled ketamine, so, yeah.. I'm willing to bet there's something behind this though.

I'm scared about losing him every day.. he's doing really well right now, responding to chemo, but oh my God.. I'm so scared of losing my companion.. he's my best friend, my boy, my everything.. he doesn't deserve just a post that won't accomplish anything except get all of this somewhat off my chest, he deserves to live cancer free, and not feel sick, and not have to go through treatment that also makes him sick, he deserves to live forever and have it all.. this world is so fucked up and unfair, I hate it. This is a one masterpiece of music and the video to me. When I took music at school, they told us about the definition of the word and this piece, represent that.
