That happened to me too: I fasted 72 hours, and NO loss. I ate again that day, and the following day I was down like 3lbs. The body is truly perplexing sometimes.

I enjoyed this video. I recently did a prolonged fast, 64 hrs. I lost 5 lbs. I felt great doing it. I could think clearer too. I tried for 72 hrs but I made the mistake of not increasing my sodium in my electrolytes and I ended up getting terrible leg cramps. I’ll be starting another fast for the full 72 hrs and will add sea salt to my electrolytes this time. I’m excited to start. So far in 13 mos. I’m down 77 lbs and from side 22 to size 12. You girls help keep me motivated with how relatable you are. Hugs, we’re proud of both of you.

I’m 15 pounds from my goal weight and the weight is dropping anymore. I have done egg fasting and water fasting for 24 hours but haven’t been able to do more. I’m so impressed that you lasted for 72 hours. Both of you are amazing. 😊

Fasting gets best results after 4 days, during that time take a multi, electrolyte with sodium, and exercise (walking or yoga). This burns out the residual glucose which allows Ketones to be burnt from there. Hunger pangs pass after 2-3 days, low intensity exercise (walking, yoga) helps with overcoming the hunger pangs and kicks in the ketone burning. TM simple meditation helps as well. You both look gorgeous and healthy.

Wow! How did it go? When I did my "72-hour" fast I was actually aiming for 7 days. I wanted the anti-cancer benefits that the 7 days is supposed to provide. I did fine on days 1, 2, and 3, but when I hit 86 hours hours, I started to feel faint and weak. I gave it some time to see if it would pass, but t didn't. So I broke my fast with some chicken broth at 89 hours and then had small meal a couple of hours after that. I'd love to hear of your experience with the longer fast. :D

I got to my 96 and I just broked due to me working when I was fasting also but I was fine otherwise it was also my trying to break plateau but I wanted to do a 7 days too and I did tried again but I only made it to 64 hours. And I haven’t done it again yet….good luck with your trying.

@@evelyncruz5407 Thanks so much for telling me how it went. I decided that I need to work up to 7 days. Jumping from 2 days to 7 was just too much at one go. We have eaten organic since then and now it I have moved on to keto, so I agree with you that it is about the healing and positive changes we make for our bodies and longevity. In Berkeley where I live there are many baby boomers in their 80s who eat well and are active, slim and can move great. I see them out biking, hiking, swimming and they are not limping or using mobility devices. It is great that you have taken the initiative to be healthier.

Try not to compare yourself to your sister and remind yourself you are comparing yourself to your old former self.. from where you’ve been to where you are. Be proud of that. And as I mentioned in another comment, I won’t be surprised if you start losing weight the next three days after a fast. That’s what happens to me, I always gain and then I lose. I want to aim for a 30 day fast but if I only do 15/20 days at least it can kickstart me into my planned re-entrance into Keto (I’ve done 7 days fast before and I strayed from Keto, lost my way into bad habits I should have never allowed myself to try, that weren’t even satisfying). I miss how I felt with Keto and I loved the food, and there is so much more great recipes out there now than when I initially started. There’s no excuse and I’m truly excited to have sport stations like y’all, guiding us with your honesty. Only thing with Keto, since I don’t have a gallbladder I take betaine hcl tablets, digestive enzymes and ox bile. I don’t know if you’ve covered supplements like them on your channel? In the sauna at the gym, I wear a neoprene suit and chin mask, very interesting looking to say the least. Ha! I’m interested in looking into the sauna blanket, thanks for sharing info.

Don’t get discouraged I’m a very slow loser as well and I know how frustrating it can be.

This just further demonstrates that not everyone’s body works the same way and that CICO is BS because your body can make all kinds of adjustments to maintain a given body composition if it wants to. It’s about your body’s willingness to use fat which is based on hormones, genetics, epigenetics, particular physiology, etc, etc.
