BTW Kets you do absolutely have the right idea - "Magic is science just that we don't understand yet” is a quote by Arthur C. Clarke who wrote 2001: A Space Odyssey. The whole point is she wants to know everything to do with the science, and the idea that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" absolutely applies to her character as a whole. Science IS the magic to her! Plus, the Puppet Ultimate's name is "It's Magic, I Added Some Magic" so it's absolutely been her thing from the beginning!

Definitely better than a Kaslana's cooking. The food Herta made, looks more edible than anything a Kaslana would make. Incase you're not familiar with Honkai Impact 3rd, one of the common traits across the entire Kaslana family line, is that they are ALWAYS horrible in the kitchen, they've never been good at cooking. As such, anything they cook turns out so horrible it's not worth the risk eating such bad cooking

Herta is the only 4 star character I'm still constantly using from 1.x, (and Qingque in SU sometimes, I love both of them.) Soon she will march on to 3.0 and be teamming with her original self.

Congrats on getting Fugue! She's broken as all hell when it comes to break teams. She can also help in Acheron teams but she is not built for Acheron. I know you'll never take note of this but it's pronounced like "fyoog" or "fee-oog" and it's meant to reference the "fugue state" a state of confusion following severe trauma that leads to feelings of disassociation and confusion, coupled with temporary memory loss and finding oneself in an unknown place. It fits the character, but it's not a name that the character has adopted at this point, it's just her name as a unit to differentiate from the regular Harmony Tingyun.

Genshin is not closely connected to Star Rail. Don't start with the delusion of it having deep connections to Genshin when it doesn't. Honkai Star Rail is more close to HI3rd in lore than Genshin ever was. As such, it'd be more proper to compare her to a Kaslana, who always are horrible in the kitchen, even though she lacks the natural white hair Kaslanas have. Though, Herta's horrible cooking here still looks edible, unlike anything Kaslanas cook, where their cooking "skills" are so horrible, it's a hazard to eat their cooking, no matter what they cook.

An Emanator is someone who, for one reason or another, attracted the attention of an Aeon, thus becoming "Blessed" by Them. Each Aeon grants blessings for their own reasons: Aha blessed a worm because They thought it would be funny, Lan blesses all Xianzhou generals with emanator-like powers to further Their crusade, etc. Herta doesn't want answers, just more questions so she may keep experimenting/thinking about stuff, and that mindset is why Nous blessed her.

Herta has canonically met the Aeons twice according to her portrait in her lab. Aeons, as in multiple at the same time, twice. In the shorts it always shows descending stairs near Nous. Mythus the Enigmata is an aeon that was a fragment of Fuli that follows Nous around and messes with things to make the known unknown out of pure spite and is there fore regarded as "the shadowy light behind Nous and Fuli". I think Herta might be an emanator of Mythos and think she's an emanator of Nous because of misinformation. Which would be the most funny thing cuz almost all the lore we get in game comes from her so literally everything we know about the world of Star Rail might be misinformation.

I think a lot of people came to the same conclusion when Ruan Mei made that "I prefer the smaller one" comment . . . A cultured member of the Medium is Premium community for sure (100% not down bad though). I do kind of hope they work well together in game but Ruan Mei does feel excessively tied down to the break team at this point which is a bit unfortunate since I like her but I'm not the biggest fan of the break team.

I was kinda iffy on The Herta's design at first, but I've grown to appreciate it a lot over time. Cause when you see mages in fantasy, a lot of 'em also have an obsession with wisdom and learning, which isn't far off from a science type like Herta, so it's kinda cool to blend the two together. And Star Rail is always marketed as a space _fantasy_ game, rather than sci-fi outright, so it makes sense
