Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi - 599.7 Million (Former World Record) - Tiger Schwert

After 4 years of active play, I managed to beat the top arcade score in ketsui, and nearly 600 million as well!!!!
I would like to continue, to get 600m and eventually at least one no miss run.
I would have been extremely impressed by this 4 years ago, hell even 2 years ago... feels interesting
to think about.

This is the top achievement in all of shmups. At least it is to me, since ketsui is my favorite shmup. One day I just hope to clear the ura loop and this makes me want to get back into the game again. Congrats on the record!

I really want it to be my favourite Shmup but I just have no idea how people clear stages 4 and 5 . I just end up frantically dodging for my life with the whole play field covered in bullets, even in x mode . This game actually broke me mentally and I gave up and sold my PS4 but im getting another one to at least play deathtiny arrange as I miss it.

For scoring at loop1: 00:00 to 22:04 Chip drop is based in proximity to the enemy on defeat, being the 1-chips so far that it would be considered spying and 5-chips being in their faces. Chips are added to an End of Stage Multiplier (Big number below the lifes remaining) which is above the enemy value multiplier which goes up to x999 and gets all the value going down by a tenth of the value when you kill an enemy locked. Locking enemies while they're exploding (An empty lock or e-lock) provides both chips and multiplier reducing the amount of multiplier lost. And then we have the chip countdown (The cube and number that go up to 99) which reflects how many seconds you have remaining of the highest chip counter and gets one second by enemy destroyed when running. The total chip value only decreases when facing the stage boss and will cash out on what does the counter have as value. Loop 2 is way simpler in terms of scoring: all chips count for 1-chips, the chips that should've dropped are revenge bullets as the chips are auto-collected and End of Stage Bonus which normally is highest value x10000 +(Player Life Stock including one usedx300)+(Player Bomb Stock x15) gets a x2 bonus for all Loop 2. By itself is hard to get to Ura (Which requires a NoMissNoBomb of the game until you beat Evacaneer on 1-5 and getting at least 120M points; but to be honest, that is not a nuisance if you're going for WR because Moglar had shown that we can pull it before Black Draft, the minoboss of 1-4), let alone get to the 500M score club and much less the actual World Record that is Moglar run right here being shy to the 600M milestone

I've said it on the premiere, but you're a legend among men. 600M is so close, and so is NoMiss since one of the ways to 600M is to NoMiss. And that DOOM fight was one of the smoothest I've seen. Great Game and keep it up Moglar!!

Been trying to understand the loop 1 scoring system more, and I think I get the major mechanics + empty locking big enemies with low base value, but I can't wrap my head around when you empty lock the popcorn. Looking at stage 1, you elock the air zako, but then lock kill the first tanks. But later right before the midboss, you elock all the air zako and the tanks. If you elocked the tanks at the start, wouldn't your multiplier be higher for the midboss? Looking at the other stages too, from what I see you always elock the air zako, but for small ground enemies, sometimes you elock them and somtimes you kill them with lock(I could be seeing this wrong since there's a lot of shit on the screen). How do you decide when to do which? In general, elock is always better than killing with shot because you get both shot and lock chips and don't lose multiplier, so for the first half of the stage wouldn't you elock all small low value enemies, as well as big enemies with low base values, and lock kill everything else, and for the second half of the stage do the same thing, except elock a lot less since building multiplier isn't that important anymore now that the midboss is dead, or am I missing something? Sorry for the long question but I don't really know anyone who plays this game so I'm not sure who to ask.

Lock kills on zako tanks give 2 chips (turret + main body lock chip), and successful empty locks on them usually give 2 chips as well (main body shot + lock chips). You can sometimes get all 3 chips from an empty lock, but you have to be somewhat far away from the tank so there is enough time to enter lock before killing the turret. This means the score difference between empty locking/not empty locking a ground zako is a lot less important than an air zako, the main purpose for elocks here is usually saving multiplier for later rather than getting extra multiplier. So there are a few things to take into consideration with lock killing tanks. Some tanks are chosen for lock kills for consistency/increasing average score reasons, sometimes it would just be very slow to empty lock all of them and it would be quite awkward, so players will just lock kill some of them. Sometimes tanks will spawn very low in the bottom right/left, in which case you just get more multiplier from lock killing them, as you really wouldn't have any chance of empty locking most of them. Often times the 999 multiplier cap is taken into consideration, in stage 1 even with those tanks I lock kill at the start, I can still reach 999 multiplier before the midboss, in the case that I do lock killing those tanks pretty much lost 0 score, possibly even gained score if I failed to spend my multiplier later on and end up collecting like 30 multiplier over the cap or something. Stage 3/5 first halves are also very easy (well for high level players anyway) to reach the multiplier cap in while lock killing all high value enemies, so you will need to spend a good amount of multiplier on zako, and of course its better to spend that multiplier on tanks ideally, since if you spend it on an air zako you will lose 1 chip, sometimes when I have a lot of multiplier I end up in a situation where its still best to lock kill an air zako though. And of course for the very very end of stages there are often a lot of tanks, and it would just be a massive waste to not spend multiplier since there is nothing left to save it for.

The only way to break 600 Million... Is to *entirely* No-Miss the game And that would be a Legendary World Record, because so far, no one could *truly* No-Miss it (its either No-Miss both loop but missed on DOOM, or Miss on the loops and then No-Missed DOOM)

m8 this run was 200k off with a death, obviously you dont need no miss to 600m. also the game has been no missed before, just not by a wr scorer (harder to pull it off when you have much more difficult routes)
