This was one of the best videos I have seen of a model railway exhibition that I have come across. I enjoyed the tour round the room before the doors had opened with an overview of the layouts and some behind the scenes views and tips. Once the doors opened going round the layouts and then coming back to them from time to time worked well and is how I visit exhibitions in reality. Well done.

Was good to see your layout in person yesterday. Hopefully i'll get my video from the show done today, i'm not as fast with the upload as you.

For the corner section you could have the top end remnants of a mine incline and a winding house in ruins. Nods towards the remains of the inclines and winding houses on the old Dinorwic quarries

You layout seemed to work well. Good to see those running the layouts got the message to keep things moving to keep kids interested. So many layouts at GETS may have been running in scale time, but so many walking away as nothing seemed to happening!

Great to meet you this morning Tris... and your awesome narrow gauge layout. Sorry I kept distracting you and messing up you train running! That miniature museum in Wroclaw I mentioned is called Kolejkowo if you're ever over that way.

It's looking great. For the non scenic end what about a sea and semi circle sea wall or sea cliff with fencing at top by the railway and then up a small embankment to a seaside hotel with semi circular conservatory or a folly or sheep and shepards wheeled hut.

Enjoying the vids as always Tris - they're so relaxing to watch and listen to! A suggestion for the other end of your layout is for it to go through a village, perhaps Corris style going between/ close to some cottages and some dry stone walls 😊

Great Video Tris! For the second curved board how about building a curved viaduct with a waterfall?

Great video Tris. Congrats on exhibiting your layout at the exhibition. Hope it all went well for you. It's also nice to see what goes on behind the scenes at the exhibitions as well. - Nicholas.

Nice video glad it went well. As a thought Instead of bring the track into the centre of the fiddle yard board if you bring it to the edge closest to you as operator you can increase the radius at the end. The two, sidings can then fan off towards the back of the layout if that makes sense

Hello. Very nice ❤

Just a thought for the other bare corner of the layout, could could try and make it look like the top of a hill/edge of a cliff, maybe with a winding house facing perpendicular to the track with non-functional wagon turntables beneath the main line. The windong house tracks would lead down and off the board. The talyllyn railway had something similar many years ago. Not sure if it would look great on the tight curve, tho

A little tip that worked for me for safety check/guard rails on bridges that might be useful for your friends third rail is to use rail from smaller profile track . On my HO scale layout using Peco 100 track I bought a length of Peco code 70 track, stripped the rails out and glued them inside the rails on be bridges. Cheers Peter.

The problem with 3rd rail is the peco items like a number of their indivualay range is overscale and manufacturers don't tend to stick to a consistent height for the pick up shoes. The best option I have seen is that sold by the scalefour society really.

Hi Tris. An idea for the end why not make a different season say autumn. As always a great vide. Thanks. Steve

Irchester station, which I'm having trouble locating again in the video, is an especially attractive little station.

What I would like to see is all of the OO9 engines and rolling stock Tris owns. One video.

The peco 3rd rail pots are overscale so they sit the rail too high. Another option is to use n gauge rail in code 55. The best representation of 34d rail is the items sold by the scalefour society, a members only item unless you go to one of their shows.

I enjoyed watching that Tris, I could not make it to the show. i don't know if you have a 3d printer thing? but might I surggest as loco project the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway 'B' class 0-4-0 locomotive, i think one of these would a talking point, plus would fit in well.

Great video Tris, I really enjoy your channel. Hope the repairs to the loft railway are going well after the bird got in. This relates to an old video now, but are you still able to sell your OO gauge sleepers for aligning track over baseboard joints? I always meant to purchase some for work on my layout (which I'm now only just starting).

For the corner section how about it being a tunnel that has a window showing inside it?
