I’m using a 1202 as a sub mixer with the 1204 USB. These videos are priceless. 🎤🥁🎼

My first mixer was the Behringer Xenyx QX1202USB, and I still use it once in a while. I was always puzzled by the whole USB/2TR section. I recall plugging various things in and pushing one or the other button in or out, and then somehow stumbling onto something that worked for my purposes. Then the next time I would use the mixer I would have no clue what I had done and how the buttons worked! 😆 Gotta say though, this cheap little mixer served me well, and some of the stereo effects in it sound awesome.

Thanks for the comment. I spent a lot of time with their old Behringer Eurodesk mixers 15-20 years ago, but haven't spent a ton of time with the Xenyx stuff. Your comment echos what I've been hearing though, it's a popular mixer and a lot of people end up "pressing buttons until it works", so I'm hoping that these new videos help people understand a little more how it work. Overall, I find the Xenyx very unintuitive. It's a pretty clunky little mixer.

so, here's a scenario perhaps you can help with: I sometimes work in a duo with both of us needing stereo inputs coming from iPads as well as 2 vocal mic channels and 2 addl XLR ins for guitars and ONE more 1/4" input for guitar (preferably 2). We want to have control of what comes back in the monitors (one send, naturally) but the only solution at this point SEEMS to be that we need to plug ONE of the stereo-pair-iPad outs in to the RCA ins (WITH a volume pedal between the iPad and the board). Will be hear the RCA inputs in the monitors or only the mains?

I'm using the Xenyx q802 and what you say also applies to this device too. I'm trying to get USB computer sounds going to the mixer, and being able to hear it via 2-track output. But I've noticed that it only plays its own input sources this way. It seems you can only hear the USB audio via the Phones and Main Out sockets.. this is a bummer, but not the end of the world..

Why would you use mono cables for plugging in your phone over stereo?

This video is fantastic with one big problem. I am having operator error issues with my very first mixer, a Behringer 1204USB - the Non-FX version of your demo unit. I am having all kinds of problems trying to get the correct in / out to work. I am not using the RCA in or out. Is there any possibility of making a similar video using the 1204USB? THANK YOU for all of your excellent videos.

I have the Behringer Xenyx 1204USB (that’s withouth the effects panel), and I’m trying to figure out how to get the playback from the computer through the RCA output. Is there a way to do that? Thank you in advance!

Ive owned a soundcraft notepad 12fx for a good while but only recently its started a digital distorted whinning noise which takes sometime to dissappear, ive noticed its something to do with the last tracks in the chain 9/10 and FX, was just wondering since you know rhe tricks about most of these, if you had any suggestions what has caused this or can i pin point its solution, eg drivers firmware or anything, very weird to just start happening, anyway thanks for your time if you read this far, hope to hear from anyone about this quandry? Cheers

Hard for me to guess without seeing/hearing it first hand. But my first guess is that it has something to do with the power supply.
