Christian Armand De Vera actually, its usually just a sign of blood flow. they have proper breath support (if they didnt they wouldn't be able to hit the correct pitch for the high notes) so straining is not likely. maybe in the weaker vocalists but usually you can tell in their voice if theyre straining or not

Finally one cover which is serious in doing it properly I am talking about them really putting their emotions and staying focus during the song, not just singing the lyrics along with melody. This was lacking in many of the covers (boo to other covers if they are not serious why bother covering such a tough legendary song and make me mad!!) They had done well, the first part came out stronger than the climax though, but they got really good control of their vocals and harmonizing done well.
