I looked long and hard to figure this out, then I found this video and my problem was solved. Keurig mysteriously doesn’t include the K35 in their list of instructions for draining the internal water reservoir. Thanks for taking the time to make this video and helping me out!

Thank you so much. I have to send one to someone and I had no idea how to drain the K35.

I’ve searched everywhere trying to find out how to disconnect the tubing to remove the last of the water, and nothing has been enlightening in the slightest. This has been beyond helpful thank you so much!

Great video. I had same issue finding a video about the k35 model and ran into this one finally. Simple solution. NOTE: to avoid breaking the small hose, use a flathead screwdriver to push upwards on the tip of the hose while using only moderate force to pull on the hose itself. Just pulling on the hose only causes the internal diameter of the hose to grow smaller and hold tighter to the fitting. By using just moderate force to pull on the hose and using the screwdriver to wiggle the tip of the hose towards the top of the fitting at the same time, the hose will not clamp down on the fitting and come off much more easily and will be less likely to break the hose.

You are so correct about you explanation, you can use your fingers (if they are small enough) to push those 2 tabs to take the top off, also if you take the 2 screws off that attach the brewing apparatice to the base unit you can lift gently and clean under it. Very good video so thank you very much. 😊👍

Exactly what I needed. I was surprised at the amount of water that came out. Putting mine into long-term storage, happy I'm not storing it with all that water in it.

As per some of the comments... I popped the lid off, worked the large hose off the barb, opened the pod bay door ("open the pod bay door hal " ) and turned the machine upside down. After working it at different angles, I think enough water came out to be empty ? Nothing sloshes when I try. So, it seems like possibly we dont need to pull that small pain in the whatnot hose off. Appreciate the video to get me on the right track. Cheers

This worked perfectly. Had been scouring the internet for this solution, but everything out there was for the larger Keurig models. I didn't have any trouble removing the external lid after disengaging the tabs. You were right, though. Removing the smaller hose was difficult (and I found I had to do it in order to get water to drain). The hose ended up breaking just over the barb, but I had enough remaining to reconnect it after draining the water. As Jason Lynch mentions, I found blowing on the large hose helped to expel some remaining water that hadn't drained even after shaking and rotating the machine. Thanks again...very helpful!

Tha is so much for your video! I followed your steps and was amazed at how much water came out of the thing! And Keurig would have us store these brewers with all that water still inside? It’s ridiculous! I wanted to add a couple more observations for anyone else who comes across your video: getting the small hose off was a beast. I carefully pried the bottom of it off with a butter knife and had to keep easing it off a little at a time that way. Putting it back on after emptying was dang near impossible. I got it about 2/3 of the way back on and gave up. Before I use it again, when my fingers aren’t so sore, I’ll get it the rest of the way. Also when you tip it upside down to drain the water, it’ll stop at some point but oh, no, you’re not done... by a long shot! Angle it different ways, jiggle it side to side, blow through the big hose, and don’t be surprised if water keeeeeeeeps shaking out. Thanks so much to the OP and other commenters - could never have done this on my own!

Thank-you!!! In my case, the cover popped off with no pressure after I released the tabs. Drainage only came after removing both hoses. Really helpful and appreciated!!

Thank you. Very helpful. As Heidi S stated, the cover popped off easily once releasing the tabs and drainage only occurred after removing both hoses. You can blow into the bigger tube, although it won't blow water out of the small tube without removing it. Blowing into it seems to help move the water around inside and assist in getting most of it out. The small tube is on very tight. I actually tore it trying to remove it with an automotive pick, so be patient.

Thank you for the info I was going to undo the little one next I ended up undoing the little spout that is at the end of the big hose there's two clips on the sides and I undid one on the left side if you are looking at the front and just slide it out to the left and then disconnect it that way I am worried about the same thing with the water going bad in the tank during storage Thank you

Thanks for the info. For me all I had to do was take off the large hose. I then turned it upside down and shock it. The water started running right away. It was easy to pop the cover off…I just used a screwdriver to push the tabs.

Worked great! Like Becky suggested shaking it will get every little last drop of water out. I guess if I really wanted to dry the tank completely you could use an air compressor and blow some air through the big hose. It might help the air evaporate in the tank and reduce the possible mildew in the future. Again, I appreciate the video.

One additional note. Once you drain the tank using this procedure. If you will use a slight amount of air pressure on the large tube (Blow into the large tube), you will get some additional draining from the small tube. I was able to get an additional ounce of water out.

What is the small door on the bottom of K-35 electrical prongs inside
@ImmaPotato152 жыл бұрын
You don’t have to remove the little hose! Just the big one, then leave the lid popped open instead of securing it down. The little hose acts as air flow into the tank while the water flows out the big hose.

I just bought one of these machines from Goodwill and I was cleaning it. I ran some vinegar and water through it and it was working fine. I came back to it about half an hour later and was cleaning out the inside in the pot holder area because whoever owned it before didn’t clean it and I went to plug it in and turn it on and now it’s not even turning on. I don’t really understand what happened. Perhaps that is why they got rid of it but it was working fine when I brought it home. Now I’m scouring the Internet trying to find an answer.

If you blow through the big tube, it'll push the water through the system and out the smaller tube

Ugh. So don't use pliers to remove the small tube. My tube broke. Guess it's going to the trash
