Me too. We woke up to the same sunrises and partied past the same sunsets as Lesane Parish Crooks, Tupac Amaru Shakur, Makavelli the Don Killuminati! I never got to see him in person, but I got to walk the earth at the same time as him, and thats a helluva time to be alive. You people in the future just can never know what it was like. But they'd be the only other people that could do that to me, and I had only just heard of Pac within the year when he died. I hadn't even grasped what a genius and revolutionary he really was yet, but that man just gripped your soul and took you wherever he was going. He was the only person who was smart enough, talented enough, and brave enough to speak truth to power from a position of power. Which is where he rests forever now. In power. They can never lock him up or shut him up now. I hear new Tupac songs every day because those of us who witnessed his force won't let him go quietly into the night. It's like we need him to still be alive because his work isn't done yet, and only he can do it. That's why people are still into the seven day theory. He masterfully planted that seed with so many rhymes because he knew they were gonna take him from us years ahead of time. It's because of who his family was and the company he was raised in. He was the most legitimate heir to power in the black panther party, and after he got locked up he was getting pledges from gang leaders and prison gang leaders all over the country that they were behind him. That man was gonna be something much much more than a rapper and movie star. He had political office written all over him. Listen to that voice in his music. Can you imagine that voice speaking into a mic at a congressional hearing or at the front of a war protest? Guarantee he was greenlit by feds for the hit.
