Keep in mind, this is translated from Estonian to English via Google translate, so it might not be 100 percent accurate. The following is the translated info of video description: "The Scout Battalion and the Latvian Defense Forces Soonurme carried a counterattack. Local people also took part in the "front row" of the learning battle."

Kevadtorm (Spring Storm in English) is an annual combat exercise held in Estonia since 2003. Spring Storm aims to test the readiness of NATO forces in responding to a fictional crisis.

if youre refrencing the video where the german soldier fires a 50 cal firing burst is much more effective than shooting 1000 rounds per minutes because its more accurate and less ammo consuming

Could someone possible tell me what's going on? I know it's a training exercise, but for who and where?
@manicmike12933 жыл бұрын
No idea where, but the flags on their uniforms are Estonian flags.

Looks like training exercises for urban combat with blanks and wounded in combat simulation. They probably live on a military base or near one where these demonstrations/ training sessions take place possibly regularly. Or just an event demonstration I wish I could speak their language

Are estonian didnt get soviet russian weaponry? Or they rid all soviet style wepaonry?
@kored86883 жыл бұрын
Sweden donated a lot of weapons to the Baltics shortly after independence. Swedish weapons seen here is the AK-4 (Swedish license built version of the G3), KSP 58 (based on the FN MAG) and Carl-Gustaf recoilless rifle.

Now we (estonians) have new assault rifles Rahe20. Manufacturer is Lewis Machine & Tool, originated from USA.

Estonia was ocupied by the USSR so we got basically NONE of the armaments. The only soviet equipment we have/had was donated by other countries to us or it was transfered from the police forces (like the Btr-80)
