Aviance was lucky to survive a broken jaw in 2007 due to a very nasty gaybashing incident. Couldn't perform at Pride parade that year with a wired jaw. This lady has taken a lotta sh*t and is still fabulous.

I remember this. I remember seeing him walk around Chelsea (where I believe he was attacked) all the time, in his heels. Without a care in the world. Because he knew he was in a safe space until self hating homophobes decided to be stupid. God bless and protect him. Forever legendary! 🙏💜🙏

Left the White Party early and saw him perform this right in front of me, early Sunday morning at the Palladium. It was without the props in this video, and to this day probably the most impressive solo performance I've ever seen. He was a staple at Jr's Arena at Palladium, and I enjoyed every performance he shared with us. Thank you Kevin!!

I for one am not a gay guy on drugs....i have neither tantrums nor do i suffer from outbursts and I enjoyed this very much. I think that some old people age with a young heart while others forget to enjoy the simple things in life, one of which is art. at 29 years of age I found this to be both simple, yet entertaining, mainly because it took me back to a time when things were a bit more simple than they are today. Think back to when this song first came out, and compare things today. you'll see
