There are a lot of people online questioning Kevin Costner's truthfulness about Princess Diana being interested in doing 'The Bodyguard 2' - it was verified by Princess Diana's Personal Butler and Confidant, Paul Burrell, in his 2003 book: 'A Royal Duty' of which I have a copy. On page 240 to 241, an excerpt of what Paul writes: "One evening in July, the telephone rang. It was the film actor Kevin Costner....I rang the princess..."It's Kevin Costner. He would like to speak to you."

I knew of this too after leaks came out but the Palace denied it but then Costner let it be for the 1st yr. then let it out when questioned in an interview. And it was in Paul's (her butler) book. :) Kevin Costner is a very smart guy that saw Whitney and Diana's talent. If only Diana could have done the movie and not been lost. It would have been amazing....... Just like the BodyGaurd and maybe he could have got Whitney to see the songs for it. Now that would have been awesome!!!!

Diana is a humanitarian type, she would NOT have worked out for the Bodyguard movie at ALL. This younger generation who were only kids during that time would have to understand who Lady Diana was. We watched her as children when she was first introduced to the public with Charles and she was a very shy person and had grown with the public. Diana is a private type person and would not have been comfortable playing that role with Kevin Costner (who was very attractive at that time) but they would just not have been a fit together. I think that Warner Brothers may have suggested Diana but that Costner knew BETTER and already had his heart set on Whitney. Diana would NOT have had the same chemistry with Costner as they are radically two people who were SO opposite regardless of Diana's attractiveness. Costner's pick is what truly drew folks to watch this movie. Just because someone is attractive doesn't mean that such a person will emit that sort of screen chemistry and Diana was off doing other things through that time and really was just getting over the rough parts of ending the marriage with Charles. SO, just a no GO with that idea and Kevin strongly wanted Whitney any way. This movie would really not have worked as well as it had. Thank goodness, we as the public do not get to make these choices or else many films would have flopped as a result. The truly creative folks KNOW what they are doing. Hollywood sucks terribly as it is as a result for what the movies became today. The 90s was the end of truly great films and today presents a very LOW time in movie making because of the social climate that there is today. I refuse to pay for films as a result of the annual garbage depicted on the screen. The same dull people with the same dull taste. No variety in the films today. Every thing is a comic book or some silly ass remake filled with less than zero attraction. Place any one on the screen and this generation thinks that the person is "awesome". This generation has no taste in films or whatever they watch. They will place anyone on the screen today.

The 2 hour documentary wasn't May 25th! Article gave wrong info! It is a 2 hour documentary using local re-enactors in Huntington, West Virginia and narrated by Kevin Costner. It will air on History Channel on June 2nd at 4pm preceding an encore showing of the mini-series!

I am glad that Costner did not chose Diana in the end. It would have been an entirely different movie, like ho-hum. Nothing against Diana,I liked her also, but at least Diana understood that she would not have worked in this role. Just because you are asked to do a movie doesn't mean you should. You have to understand the creative integrity behind the choices UNLIKE today, where they will pick ANY young someone who looks like everyone else with the same empty boring appearance just because they look like the rest of the females in the audience. Who would watch it? THIS generation who is into how someone LOOKS like than into the quality of the film. This is the dumbest environment of a generation that I have EVER witnessed. Simple-minded people. And oh, by the way, I am chilled and am typing with a sound mind.

The number are taking amounts as 1,000 dollers . I recently read an article saying that "you" wabted to marry her. When she found she came very close to tsking her life. This makes me very angry. I have reported several of thesr people, yet they have not been removed. Perhaps it is time to sue Facebook. 😊
