When you can move freely at his height, a touch is considered a foul in the "modern" NBA, it's just too easy for him. Honestly I don't think Durant is a entertaining player to watch, if the defense at least had a chance to defend, but the rules benefits the offense way too much nowadays. It was more fun to watch him early in his career, when he had to fight to get to his spots (being so skinny, he had some trouble, it's not as "automatic" as it is in the current rules)

@@rich3637 Yep. Meanwhile in the 2010 playoffs he was contained by a older Ron Artest, simply because Artest played physical defense. The league devolved into this no-touch nonsense ever since +- 2010 itself, the rules are limiting physical play consistently through the years. When a pure shooter like Durant gets to his spots, he is going to hit the shots, so for balance sake the defense should be able to play physical with him. At least Durant would have to work for his shots (and actually hit the gym). Durant was cold in the last playoffs, the slight physicality of the Celtics was already enough to destabilize him, let us see how he is going to perform this year, the west doesn't have any strong defensive team, most likely the Suns is going to have a easy time (if healthy), they are only going to be challenged defensively in the finals (considering either the Celtics or Bucks are going all the way)

To me honestly, this is the best version of Kevin Durant we've ever seen and yeah, I mean even better than his MVP season. His efficiency are out of this universe. If he continues to have a few more 35+ games he will have the most efficient season of all time while averaging 30+ points per game (he will surpass Curry's unanimous MVP season in efficiency).

KD truly such a unique superstar. He isn't your typical "leader" like the Lebron and Giannis of the world, but his skillset and attitude gives him the ability to play with ANY team. I feel like thats where KD thrives. You put him on a team that already has the pieces and system in place, and he just brings them over the top. We saw this with Golden State, and we are now seeing it with the Suns.

The reason the "he can't lead narrative" came about was because the media hated that he made the Warriors unstoppable, but they had no way to discredit his actual abilities. They had to find something that they could judge based on their opinion and leadership was what they found. Irving was injured and Harden played with injury. Durant led Nets to the 7 games ALONE, without any help at all, and he was inches of hitting one of the greatest game winning 3 point shot in play off history. Durant was better player than Giannis in those series, but nobody talks about it because Nets lost. Giannis is great player, but to me he didn't prove anything. Let's not act like he won that title in the right way, let's not act like all teams that he faced were 100% healthy.

Giannis the following postseason nearly put Jayson Tatum out of the Celtics series and injured Robert Williams 3 and took him out of the series. Robert Williams 3 is an important defensive piece for the Celtics against players like Giannis.

Even though I'm a Lebron fan, Durant is much better in scoring. He's not a leader, playmaker type of player like Lebron, Magic Johnson, John Stockton, etc. But he is a "pure scorer" like Tmac, Jordan, Kobe, Kyrie, Iverson, etc. He is a lethal assassin, a scoring machine and a huge difference maker if he joins a contending team.
