The problem with the play was the person who passed the ball to Jimmy. They needed a three point shot to tie the game. However, Rozier passed the ball inside the 3 point line which threw Jimmy off and gave the Suns defense enough time to block his shot after he ran outside the three point line.

@@drakonb6987 i think Jimmy could have done 1 of 2 things: first one was pass to Tyler Herro, but Herro would take on a very dificult contested three pointer (probably a step back) so don't blame him ofr hesitating even tho it's the NBA and shoots like that go down every night. the second option was, after jimmy received the pass, to drive to the middle and pass it to the top since Bam Adebayo had space to shot and was facing the basket, unlike Tyler Herro. that's my humble opinion

Bad pass by rozier but i understand it a bit, hes guarded by two guys, no open passing lane fr, jimmy is the only one who can rlly receive this withouth it getting stripped rozier was already jumping trying to get the pass clear and he threw it in a way it wasnt exactly accurate cuz u can see jimmy steps in to grab it. So hes out of position because the pass was bad, they need a 3. However interestingly enough as off as roziers pass was it was in butlers general direction. If he wasn't shuffling closer to the 3point line and received the pass were he was standing when the play starts he would have been able to either take a step to the line and shoot or wait to be closed out and pass out. Because he was out of position he had to step back, so they had time to close out, and hes not a good 3 point shooter so he hesitated. That said while i understand it, i think he should have commited to it.
