True! Durant is more like Scottie Pippen (who won with Jordan and Jackson, but could not win in Houston or Portland as the main guy). Small market homegrown superstar with a title worthy supporting cast (important detail people overlook) and a teammate (Russ) to take all the blame whenever he lost. Threw it all away for 2 worthless rings nobody respects. The Suns trading CP3 for Beal was a mistake. The Suns in the offseason need to get a real PG! Booker ain’t it as a PG. Kyrie & James harden were gone. KD preferred to be with a team that was ready to win now, and quite frankly, nets wanted a fresh start as well. Those things do not directly affect his personal happiness. The same way your job or career doesn’t affect your entire personal happiness. If it does, then that speaks volume to your own personal struggles in your relationship with your career. Clearly we commoners are not in the same position but still relatable. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fair to criticize his game, his leadership in the game, his inability to get it done with this team sure, but that take was for clicks.

@@Blockchaindev248 I am not suggesting KD has always been a miserable person. He clearly can still enjoy life outside of the NBA. But in term of his basketball life, KD doesnt seems to know what he wanted. If KD wanted to ALWAYS be with a win-now team, he would have never left GS in the first place. He wanted his own team by joining Kyrie on the Nets, but then he change his mind to join another team because he wanted to be in win-now mode again? the Nets was clearly his team, and he could have recruited people to join like Lebron does in LA, but he doesnt want that burden. What players do in the last quarter of their careers is very important in how their legacies is defined. For example, Michael Jordan destroyed his legacy by playing for the terrible wizards and then being an awful owner for Charlotte. Now Kevin Durant is destroying his legacy.

I don’t think anything changed, going to golden state already set his legacy to be this. It’s just showing more and more proof over time. KD is just one of the best scorers ever that’s it.

KD was on a team with Curry and still won 2 FMVP. That's a pretty good legacy. KD isn't a GM so how is Brooklyn his fault? Or Phoenix? He did his job.

Brooklyn was actually built much better than current Phoenix because Harden can act as a really good PG, they couldn’t stay healthy together though & Kyrie couldn’t play in NYC as he wasn’t vaccinated. Phoenix is a mess right now, Beal trade looks really bad in hindsight as KD, Booker, & Beal have the same role.

4:05 he doesn’t care what fans think and only that kd should think on what his peers think. Sorry but it’s fans who are most important, they pay the stars bills and if it isn’t about us, then the league will have a crowd like when they were in the bubble.

I have the solution for KD's issue: Go back to OKC where you were happy, come of the bench and strive for unobtained awards, mentor the young guys to a couple chips. The turns your legacy around and secure your statue!

Trade Book and KD, and rebuild around Beal. They're stuck with him because of his salary and his no trade clause. Get as much as you can for KD and Book while their value is still high. Maybe, after trading KD and Book, Beal doesn't want to stay, and waves his no trade clause. This would be a total win for the Suns since they can't compete in the West.

KD is already the "ultimate mercenary". He can continue to do so and not gonna end up with "3-4 rings" when he retires. Old heads are washed. Done. Move aside and stop taking up air time on ESPN.

As the years go on people will realize how amazing Lebron has been. Consistently winning and making it to finals and while he doesn’t always win no one in this era will win as much because the talent is too high. Kd isn’t on lebron level and he’s not a leader. Every super team he went to lost except golden state and they were good before he came he just road them and helped make them better scoring
